The last few years have been great to me, as i was able to clobber the S&P500 many times in returns. But of course, you can't make a living trading the markets if you don't make great great returns. I'll try to give my readers trades that i think will make them money. However, you need to have money management skills, in order not to lose everything on a greedy or stupid trade. I may or may not already be in the trades i recommend. I may or may not trade the stocks i recommend. Due diligence is required on your part and the usual disclaimer that i am not responsible for your losses always apply. I have no affiliations with any broker/dealer and all posts are for educational purposes only. TSL really nice bottomed chart

TSL closed @ 43.20

Really nice bottomed chart once again. The last time gave us a 10-bagger on that front month options play. Since september is coming, i suggest you not own too much of any stock.

If you didn't grab any yesterday, you might want to buy the dip today (if any).

Yes, i still believe solar energy will lead the bull market for the next few years. These stocks will be big and powerful. Some have been beaten down so much that you can't help but continue to nibble in.

Clean your pipes before trading.

“Board certified as a gastroenterologist since 1972, Robert Charm, MD, of Walnut Creek, California, a clinical professor of medicine at the University of California, combines conventional allopathic medicine with CAM in his practice.

“Frequently while performing colonoscopy, I see that the patient is cleaned out from above but below the diverticular still contain fecaliths, those small turds remaining in pockets formed on the gut mucosa. They indicate the presence of an unhealthy colon, and over 50% of Americans possess diverticulosis colae. When inflamed, gastroenterologists called them diverticulitis colae, which can be serious by creating fistulas. Some people then will evacuate through their bladders,” Dr. Charm says. “With patients for whom I perform colonoscopy, about one third of them over the age of fifty who are otherwise cleaned above, still show residual stools sitting in these gut mucosa pockets. Some have held onto the stool pockets for decades. A toxic dumpsite like this is dangerous for them by the elevated concentration of poisons stored in the dumpsite. Cancer can develop!”

You guys need to have already started nibbling into stocks.

The selloff last week came with so much fear and volume that it may have been the ultimate bottom. There might be some more bad news in the next few weeks regarding subprime and bank and hedgefund failures but the fed is letting us know that they are taking a very proactive stance against the credit crunch. You just can't go against the fed and go all out shorting the market. Many very smart traders have had their bungholes widened fighting the fed throughout the decades.

VMW (VMWare) goes vroom vroom!!!!!!!!!!

VMW closed @ 65.99

Don't listen to Cramer, saying 60 was high and we should sell. He did the same with MA when it was at 60 also.

Buy VMW and buy more on dips!

Golly, hold it for at least 1 year, will ya? $120 here we come!

EMC is also going higher, but i like VMW better. Why go thru the backdoor with EMC if we all like VMW?

ALERT!!!! Friday Gamble.

ALERT!!!!!!!

Hey, it's friday. Why not gamble a little?

GOOG 500 calls August .50 or less.

A play on Cramer. Could be a great weekend gift. Could be a 20-30 bagger if the highs of today end up getting taking out.

Play small, please.

Sinking ships CFC & TMA!

Short them both.

TMA is around 9.
CFC is around 22.75 right now premarket.

How about holding your short for one month?

YHOO poised for more gains.

YHOO is trading @ 24.60 right this moment.

The stock is rebounding. $26 in the short term shouldn't be hard.

Sunday, August 12, 2007

We are not falling over a cliff just yet.

Conditions are oversold in the extremes in the short term. We either rebound now or we crash. Since this is not September or October, a bounce is expected. The Sunday night futures are up significantly.

The technicals of SPY, DIA, and QQQQ are all showing a Monday bounce. We are very oversold in the very short term, though not the intermediate term we are not.

The bears will occasionally throw a monkey wrench at us because they really want the markets to crash. But the liquidity pump by the Fed last Friday should counter some of the negativity. The fed also pumped us up in February and the rest was history. The next 2 months will be the permabears' Last Stand. They will throw at the bulls all their weapons of financial destruction to try to bring the market to its knees.

There's only a 2 month window left to be a bear. That's it, and then we get the year end rally.

Subprime Contagion?

The scare is on: http://bloomberg.com/apps/news?pid=20601087&sid=a.pPEmZeZZCk&refer=worldwide

Aug, Sept and Oct tend to be the worst months of the year for the stock market. It's when all the negative news gets magnified, resulting in profit taking, which sets the stage for a year end rally. The subprime slime is making this summer much more volatile, characterized by sharp moves both ways.

Something tells me that things will get worst before it gets better. A 'contagion' could chop the stock market a good 20%. That means in the worst case scenerio the Dow goes to 11,200 as the final bottom.

As such, you must preserve capital. Trade small and trade quick in the short term, or trade the intermediate timeframe - which is trending downwards. Or just buy some index puts for October and go take a vacation. No matter what, you must preserve capital to buy the sale in late September or mid October, assuming we get the worst case scenerio.

Get ready to buy for a daytrade

But hopefully you don't go for the financials.

There should be a morning bounce.

PCLN beats the street!

PCLN gapping up 12 to 78 right now on earnings.

This stock was one of the first few stocks i recommended around 40.

Impressive stock and still has more to go.

Look for a dip for entry.

Intermediate to longer term play.

Tuesday, August 07, 2007

Today is Fed day.

Best to hold your horses until the last hour, before doing any major buying or shorting. This should be a very volatile day.

Will we crash?

Beanie's Guru Contrarian Trend Theory says
there should be at least a short term rally in
the financials (and hence the stock market)
since both Madmoney and Fastmoney were very
negative
on this sector just last Friday.

Could we be at the ultimate bottom and the bulls
go on? Did Jim Cramer so brilliantly created that bottom?

Will the Ridiculous Trend Theory fail this time?
If so, get ready for the market crash of your
life!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Stay tuned....

AMZN delivers!!

AMZN currently trades @ 78

This stock is way oversold from 89. It offers really good entry about here.

AMZN yesterday announced they are getting into the grocery business where they deliver the products to your doorstep. It's an absolutely great idea and also perfect timing for Amazon. I think they will succeed, unlike Webvan.com that didn't have the money nor the infrastructure to make it happen.

I believe this stock is headed to over 100. I also believe this is the next Walmart.

Longer term investment.

A little bit of heaven in EMC

EMC trades @ 19.18

EMC's spinoff VMWare is going ipo within 2 weeks. It's the hottest ipo of the year. Some think it's the next GOOG. I beg to differ. If it were, wouldn't EMC have a much larger market cap right now? EMC owns 90% of VMWare after the spinoff.

EMC is perhaps the safest tech stock to own in this market turmoil.

Red Alert! August Correction?

As expected, MA got hit this morning. When a market looks really bad, they tend to take down stocks during earnings regardless of what they say.

Yesterday, the selling was pervasive from start to finish. But we are due for an oversold bounce.

August is typically a bad month for stocks. I suggest you don't put too much money in the market for the time being.

You might want to look at EMC if you just can't be out of the market.
