There's so much bs out there right now. Even the people (like Cramer)keep on spreadin the news about how bad subprime is, yet they believe we get a year end rally to new highs. Let me ask you this - Does subprime go away in 2 months? These people make absolutely no sense.

NVDA also flyin'. Bought some calls yesterday (didnt buy stock) and happy despite the bludgeoning of my other positions.
Subprime does not go away in two months. But the markets can price in all the fallout from subprime in two months.
So, if all the smaller mortgage companies go bankrupt and sell their mortgage portfolio to Goldman Sachs & Co. for 20 cents on the dollar, the markets will have priced in all the subprime mess in 2 months.

watch this one carefully. If (and only if) it takes out 24.10, buy those aug 25 calls!

Fed funds pricing in not one but two rate cuts!
The markets came back vigourously because it was thought that Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac were going to bail out the financials. But with Bush today stating that FNM and FRE needs reform before being involved in SubPrime, I think we are back to square one on the mortgage mess.
Do you guys think the markets go back to test the levels with this news?

I agree Gosu. I think we are on the verge of a very big problem if the proper steps are not taken now. We had a huge housing bubble created by the Fed. I don't think they will be able to sit idlely by and emerge unscathed by this. Deflation or inflation, Ben has to pick.
