We are not falling over a cliff just yet.
Conditions are oversold in the extremes in the short term. We either rebound now or we crash. Since this is not September or October, a bounce is expected. The Sunday night futures are up significantly.
The technicals of SPY, DIA, and QQQQ are all showing a Monday bounce. We are very oversold in the very short term, though not the intermediate term we are not.
The bears will occasionally throw a monkey wrench at us because they really want the markets to crash. But the liquidity pump by the Fed last Friday should counter some of the negativity. The fed also pumped us up in February and the rest was history. The next 2 months will be the permabears' Last Stand. They will throw at the bulls all their weapons of financial destruction to try to bring the market to its knees.
There's only a 2 month window left to be a bear. That's it, and then we get the year end rally.

This volatility in the market, is the main reason why I was worried about my aapl holdings, most of my gains wiped out last Friday. But I think this temporary price breaks is a golden opportunity to accumulate. What do you think? Should I keep buying on every dips? I plan to hold it a little bit longer this time maybe for a couple of years. Well, maybe...LOL

A break of 120 could really send this stock to 100.

RIMM calls are not that safe to hold, in light of everything that has happened since i called it. I am iffy on whether we have ultimately bottomed last week or we get some more downside to go (hopefully with 12,700 on the Dow being the lowest).
But let's see what happens this week.
