The last few years have been great to me, as i was able to clobber the S&P500 many times in returns. But of course, you can't make a living trading the markets if you don't make great great returns. I'll try to give my readers trades that i think will make them money. However, you need to have money management skills, in order not to lose everything on a greedy or stupid trade. I may or may not already be in the trades i recommend. I may or may not trade the stocks i recommend. Due diligence is required on your part and the usual disclaimer that i am not responsible for your losses always apply. The techs are leading.

Many of the big tech stocks recommended here have moved thru 52-week highs. They are amazing and i believe they still have alot of room to run longer term.

AKAM - will continue to benefit because of web content proliferation. How could it not?

NVDA - the premier graphics chips company. The release of Microsoft's Vista in January will sent this stock thru the roof.

DTV, DISH, CMCSK - you know everybody loves hdtv. How could these companies not benefit?

NYX - a virtual monopoly!

GOOG - It will eat everybody's breakfast, lunch and dinner! Need i say more? Google's adsense program makes it a virtual monopoly.

RVBD - the next NTAP.

EBAY - a monopoly! They can charge whatever they want, and they have. Who says monopolies are illegal? lol .

AZO - could be the next Walmart of the automotive industry.

CELG - on its way to becoming the next Amgen.

GRMN - the leader in global positioning systems.

MA - i would own its cousin Visa too when it goes ipo.

GS - the premier brokerage firm.

etc....

-----------

Others like AMZN, BRCM, QCOM are only going higher from here.

Don't let anybody tell ya that AMZN is done because it's just a "retailer". It is the most convenient and dominant online retailer in America. I say you haven't seen nothing yet! Jeff Bezos ain't worried. Heck, he's got the time and money for space travel projects. Both EBAY and AMZN will be around when many of the companies we know today will disappear.

QCOM - a virtual monopoly.

---------

Hey if you ask me, i say you own at least the MONOPOLIES for the long long long term.

THE TECHS ARE LEADING AND WILL CONTINUE TO LEAD..
Take a look at this graph

Everybody says that inflation fears were responsible for summer sharp decline. IT WAS NOT. Microsofts sharp declines were. Go back in 2000, same thing happened. And now the market rally has been led by microsoft. If you see the 1 year chart, you see that microsoft has now gotten slightly ahead of nasdaq index. This is a VERY bullish sign. The techs will lead the way much higher.

MSFT is looking good for next year. Other than a split in 2/2003 it hasen't been much of a mover but a good steady dividend play since the split. The stock has finally reach a break out point from the 20's. Vista is to MSFT as is the iPod to AAPL. AAPL has been a leader for the past 2 years. Do you see the folllowing year as a success story for MSFT or is it to soon to tell?

Dear Friends,

Please allow me to comment on the recent ‘debate’ going on here.

I joined this blog less than a month ago. Within this short period of time, I am more than 6K in the red. In one single day I lost more than 3k by selling GRMN, NMX and SEED to buy DTV. I am losing over 3K holding XNN, ZVUE and RNIN. But the truth is that Beanie had only given his opinion and I MADE the decision, so I am responsible for the consequences – PERIOD! Our losses could be due to lack of knowledge or experience, lack of DD, bad decisions or simply bad luck, or a combination of these factors.

Please Beware! After all, Beanie is a human being too, with feelings. If he gets deeply hurt and decides to call it a day, we shall all be the losers for the actions of a few.

Let us rise above the level of the ordinary. Let us transform ourselves! We are NOT a bunch of people gathered here simply to make money, or merely to get rich. Nay, we are to be a forum of fine men and women, striving for a better future for ourselves and for our children! Let us take pride in giving and receiving, in teaching and learning! We should build values and principles.

So, let us give gratitude where it is due. Let us rejoice at our successes and research into our failures. Let us face them both with dignity. Let us believe in ourselves. In short, let us be the best!

So a BIG Thank You to Beanie, the Big Brother! And to all of you who pass onto others what you learn!

Let us look forward to a great and successful week.

Sincerely, Chao.

do you or anyone know much about Modavox (MDVX.OB)......i know, i know, it's an .OB stock & alot of investors don't trade .OB stocks

but this one seems to have alot of potential

Modavox (MDVX) is an Internet broadcast company that produces audio and video media content

it is also partnered with Akamai (yes, that's the one, THE Akamai) & MDVX was just spotlighted by Akamai on Friday

MDVX is flirting with its 52-wk. high & the volume has been picking up as of late

i was wondering if anyone out there knows anything about this company or its prospects

with all of the web-related content companies running like crazy lately (ie: MAMA/ZVUE/YOUTUBE/etc.), maybe this is the next one to fly

Here is what works for me using this site:
1) Stocks that are already on my watch list If beanie recommends them (QCOM @ 36, DELL @25.5, NYX @ 90, CSCO@24, NVDA@32) I start buying them, 100 shares at a time. These are the stocks, I have gut feeling about already and have been watching them come up. I have been watching their volumes, MACD lines and histogram, 50 day, 200 day MAs. The mantra is Undertrade, undertrade, undertrade. If I want to buy 20K worth of QCOM, I will start by only buying 4K worth at a time. This lowers the risk tremendously.

2) Stocks that I know nothing about: I have observed that 90% of beanie's recommendations give anywhere from 1 to 10% in a day or two. I try to buy Beanies speculative picks as soon as he recommends them and then sell them whenever I ride the momentum. If I think I am late getting into a beanie stock that I know nothing about, I do not take that trade. I know that there will be another one in a few hours.

Question on reverse split:
Lets say I have 10 shares of some company and there is a reverse split of 3 for 1. Then what am I left with? 10/3 stocks? How does this work? Its not possible to hold fractional shares rt?

Thanks,
-M

Hi everyone. It's picking up here, I see -- quite a few new posters (though I myself am also relatively new). Are there any expert chartists out there? Can someone look at BRKS for me? It looks like the chart is forming a wedge signaling (I think) accumulation and a potential upward move. Thank you!

As for the poster who inquired about the reverse split -- you cannot hold fractions of shares, you'll get some sort of cash payout calculated in terms of the post-split pps and the fraction that you hold.

Gosu -- of the stocks that you mention, I am in NYX and CSCO long-term (at least 8 mos., probably much longer, depending on market conditions). You can't go wrong with these, I think.

Chao,
Nice message. I think that DTV will do well this week - and you'll make back a bit of what you lost.

The only thing that I'd add to your message--if I may--is that patience is a virtue. You cannot expect every stock to go up 30% a day. There will be short term dips down, and it can pay off to ride those out and catch a longer bullish trend.

Hi Board,

As I read the messages on this board, I couldn't help but notice some people losing money on XNN and ZVUE to name a few. I mention these company because I also have shares in them. I never like hearing my fellow citizens losing money to the "HOUSE". Anyone that gambles know what I'm talking about.

XNN: If you lost money in this company, I'm assuming you invested for the long. If this is true, you should be grateful for the pullback so you can buy more. I am not saying this as a "pump and dump" stock. Lets be real, you don't have the capital to effect this stock like that. I personally love this company and its potential. XNN has a great product, hardly any competition, and virtually no debt. I can't ask for a better speculative play than this. Do I see this stock going down more? Yes but not too much more. After that, sky is the limit. The fundamentals are to STRONG!!! I could see this as a 10 bagger in couple years!!!

ZVUE: Still need to do more research but I think it has bottomed out and its going up from here. I will hold this company until next Q or sell it if I lose more than 8%.

JSPADE,

I like what you wrote about ZVUE and XNN. I saw the potential of ZVUE on Friday when the news came out !!!! Now XNN, you believe like Beanie, 2.50 to 2.00
Man, that's risky..bought 1,000 share at 2.56 other 300 R like in the $6.00 range some where. (only 300 but still).

With that being said, I'll poop if XNN hits 2.00 tomorrow or next day. I guess hold on, buy more at this level and pray it comes back to 4.00 asap. LOL

IMMC, down like .40 cents...The problem with that is when I sold off EFUT for 11.80 and thought I was doing something good, the next day it went to like 15.00 17.00 then to 20.00 30.00 and finally stopped around 45.00. Trading requires patiences sometime.

Most all the stocks Beanie has mentioned some time or another take off. Patience is required yet like BRLC flew, RNIN, Man, I'm a believer.

Beanie, hook me up for Monday...will not be here for the am bell...IMMC XNN and ZVUE..holding in portfolio..
Thanks Beanie

whats up buddy, I got a question...I was watching cramer and he was talking about JCG and how there is a huge lockup. There is a gigantic lockup. 38% of JCG's shares, of which can't be sold right now for their owners, can be on the 27th of this month. Would it be a good thing to short? He was saying to
buy buy buy, but if 38 percent of the shares are sold, isn't it going to go down big???....Brett

Pamfl,

If XNN goes to 2$, I would not "poop", I would thank GOD for this opportunity. If it tanks to $2 range without any BAD NEWS, I would be buying more for sure.
You don't have to pray for this thing to come back to $4 because it will and then some. As to when it will i'm not sure but I would like it slow and steady.
