The last few years have been great to me, as i was able to clobber the S&P500 many times in returns. But of course, you can't make a living trading the markets if you don't make great great returns.
I'll try to give my readers trades that i think will make them money. However, you need to have money management skills, in order not to lose everything on a greedy or stupid trade. I may or may not already be in the trades i recommend. I may or may not trade the stocks i recommend. Due diligence is required on your part and the usual disclaimer that i am not responsible for your losses always apply. I have no affiliations with any broker/dealer and all posts are for educational purposes only. Today is officially we love Beanie day!
:)
Hi Beanie,
Screwed up my stocks listening to my stepmother recommend ENPT last week. Should have SOLD last week..
Would anyone be so kind to tell me how much I have to eat? Bagholder
Always listen to Beanie..
In around 6.00 to 6.50
Pamfla
pamfla,
your stepmother? gosh. She needs this site! lol
HTI: nice to see that it broke thru $5. Very important.
yeah baby! Will we see $10 sooner rather than later?? Stay tuned...
I don't really know how far this will go, but if you got decent profits, feel free to take 1/2 off today or tomorrow or the next day. If you like this stock alot after doing some due diligence, then hold it longer.
Up to you. But know that since it trades on the Amex exchange (where crooked specialists abound) it can get pretty volatile.
Beanie,
After this error, she views site but hasn't signed in yet..thinks she is the sh__t with WIZETRADE
Pamfla
Hey, you folks might want to spread the word about HTI on message boards. Alot of folks can't see HTI on their radar because it trades on the Amex. Tell them about HTI so they don't end up buying other lame biotech stocks. HTI is the one!
lol
Thnks for the feedback on MRVL/DTV Beanie.
DAMN!! I religiously refresh this site. Even make this blog "MY browser home page". Still I miss out on the entry for HTI at the entry point of 4.75. By the time, I see this, its already trading at 5.40.
BOHOHOHHOOOOO!!!
hey class, when was the last time we see a biotech company get a $600 million deal? Anyone? HTI going higher.
lol
Target price for today on HTI, beanie. When are you selling it?
Can we still buy HTI and NLST?
Beanie,
Can I ask you a question about GOOG? Can we expect it to test the 50day MA? thanks
anonymous,
right now i don't see GOOG going that low, but it can if the general market takes a dive this month.
Bought 1000 HTI for $5 and sold 1000 for $5.60 within 15 minutes! Thx Beanie!
srini,
it's too late to buy if you don't plan to hold it for awhile.
Look for a dip.
HTI: I plan to hold this one at least thru today. I reserve the right to maybe sell 1/2 if we go much higher today.
is it too late for both NLST and HTI, Ibought some HTI at 5.25 NLST pulled back from 11 to 10.25. IS NLST A GOOD BUY AT 10.25
srini,
those are decent entry points. But have some available cash that you can add to your positions in case it goes lower.
Regardless, i think both stocks are going higher than where they are today.
DTV---If you buy it, only buy have, cuz its at the top of its trendline...wait till it hits the bottom of the trendline to get the best price....do u agree beenie?..Brett
BEANIE!! BEANIE!! BEANIE!!
DTV---Looks like 22.50 is the ideal buy point from looking at the chart...good luck yall...brett
Worst day so far :( Missed HTI, NLST etc.........bad day at work with things going wrong!
sucks......

Gosu,
I have had the same problem and rsort to clearing my cache so that it dosen't reload old data.
For anybody who wants to see how the army is using XNN night vision with infrared mode here is a link of how its being used now and how it will be needed in the future.
I could only see XNN going way up.

Bought HTI at $4.65 and now I'M RICH!!
Thanks Beanie!
Does anybody know of any technology - As soon as beanie posts on his website, I receive a phone call?
Beanie - how long have you been investing? Just checking to see if I'm receiving investment tips from a high school wiz in study hall, or not.
HTI: i took at least 1/2 off the table for the time being. Doesn't mean you should. Just watch it.
djfsmr,
i thought HLYS is ipo-ing today?
I'm not that excited about it, but would buy on the dip.
anonymous,
Rest assured, i'm at least 35 years old. All pimples gone a long time ago.
XNN currently at $3.21, good time to get in, or too late?
I am starting to get the feeling a market correction is near. I sure hope i be wrong. Stay tuned...
XNN: let it drop. I sure want it lower.
What is the best stock to add to -
IDEV,BRLC,XNN,RNIN,HTI.
AKAM: finally!
AKAM: going to 70
LVLT: i'm going with Cramer on this one. Long it.
5.92
Cramer sort of hinted that LVLT will be his stock of the year for 2007. That wouldn't shock me, he's been talking about it for a long time.
NLST: congrats if you played!
AKAM: i know i know, you don't believe it's going to 70. Well, believe it! Because it is.
I am very aggrevated i slept late today... Gar!!!
oh no!!...i just accidently took calls on akam DEC for 55....paid .80 for them...very stupid of me...I just got trigger happy. Beenie, should i just sell them right now and take the commison loss????? Brett
Hi Beanie,
I'm holding some SBUX and BRCM and am thinking of selling and moving into LVLT? What do you think?
Neil
I don't know if you bought PXPL but if you did you might want to sell some here.
JSPADE
Here is another one I like until next week. IMMU chart looks good and the the volume today is over 5x the average. there is a cc next week and I think its going to be good.
JSPADE
JSPADE
Thanks for thinking about me! I sold off 1/2 of my position just above 2.40
I also just took some HTI off the table -- even though I think it's going to go higher. I've learned the hard way that it's always okay to take profits....
Neil
Its always better to make a little than lose alot. If PXPL dips down, I would recommend to buy more. I sold half today also and hoping for dip down. It should have more leg up.
JSPADE
Beani
I bought nlst yesterday and looks like its moving downward. Should I take my profits or do you think its moving higher tommorrow?
thanks
ZVUE's been underperforming lately, do you see it turning any time soon? What's the play on this? I entered at 6.00
Sorry... this blog was done for some time.
anonymous,
holy cow, the stock went up 1.50 this morning and you didn't even sell 1/2 (assuming you're daytrading/ swingtrading)?
Depends on your timeframe of holding.
oh no!!...i just accidently took calls on akam DEC for 55....paid .80 for them...very stupid of me...I just got trigger happy. Beenie, should i just sell them right now and take the commison loss????? Brett
LVLT: looks like we got cramerized! lol. jk
HiBeanie,
If you had to add to any position which would you add to, especially since the market has pulledback today.
My holdings RMBS(16),MED(11),IDEV(7.65),BRLC(8.40),AOB(9.2),XNN(2.80),RNIN(5.80),SIFY(9.1) and HTI(5.25)
Help is appreciated
anonymous,
c'mon man, don't sell SBUX and BRCM for a nonprofitable company like LVLT!
beaniee
What should i do about those dec 55 calls fr akam...shold i just cover, hasnt it gone up to much, or will this breakout go further?.......Brettt
brett,
i think AKAM should be okay and going higher, as long as tomorrow's unemployement number doesn't decimate the markets.
Beanie,
Thanks for HTI and all the other Fantastic picks!
Dinner's on me if you ever make it to snowy Upstate New York.
Thanks,
Bob
Hi Beanie,
I have limited funds to trade with (under 30K) and I am stuck with NMX (bought 1st day @ $ 143), GRMN (bought @ $54.40) and SEED (bought @ $14). I generally do day trading and these stocks are holding most of my funds. Would appreciate your advice.
Chao
Chao,
I could not help myself relate to your situation now. If I remember correctly these 3 stocks you mention are most probably reecomended by analysts, ie Motley Fools.com/or Jim Cramer or any other websites. Usually when stocks are covered by analyst, the stocks price are usually on its peak or peaking. I too don't have enough money. So I find a small-cap stock that has big potential-ie unique product or service, or leader in its field or have a very outstanding business plan and practices. IPOs and small company in their early years are my focus now. A very good example which I am presently holding is RVBD. They have a unique product that address a problem in WAN- wide area network. I only have 4 stocks portfolio, I buy in every dip whenever I think it's cheap enough. I only allocate 10-20% of my money to buy highly speculative stock for short term trading- a few days to a few weeks. So far even with a dip today, I am still up by 18%. My RVBD is up 48%.
I dump all my Oil stocks & Gold a few months ago and took a loss of over $2000. But I recover from recent acquisitions. The lessons I learn was one should be careful about chasing a stock that has made its run up, it might go higher but risk is greater that it would not and might even go down in time. I did that in VLO, APA,HANS, GIGM, GG, SMSI among others. With all the available news and info about stocks, we still could not correctly predict how the market will react or behave.
As Beanie would answer your query: "depends on your investing goal or style- long-term or short?" I'd say if you have the patience to wait, it will surely recover in time. Or if you really want to change your investment choices, sell at the highest possible price only when you are ready to buy a better stock.
RNIN?
noone speaks about it anymore
be prepared for tomorrow. it will pop to new highs...consolidation is done
JMHO...
thoughts BEAnie?
I chose RNIN over XNN. I am hoping it goes higher :)

Hi Beanie and board,
NEWS from ZVUE this afternoon, good sign or bad?
Pamfla
Pam,
Stop trading and get into a good mutual fund.
Dear SGV,
Many thanks for your detailed comments; your analysis is good and will be a help for the future.
Dear Beanie,
The specific help that I need in these three stocks is their their PROSPECTS with time frame. Especially on NMX as I am $20 down and $4 down on GRN. On SEED I am $2 down but volume is over 900 shares. The current loss is around 3K.
I look forward to your advice. Thanks in advance.
Chao
Dear SGV,
Many thanks for your detailed comments. This input will help me in future. Thanks again - CHAO
Dear Beanie,
The specific help I need is prospects of these three stocks with time frame - NMX (I am $ 20 down); GRMN ($5 down), SEED ($2 down but volume is over 900 shares). Current loss around 3K.
If I can redeem these losses, I would like to invest short-medium term with 2/3 of my funds and remaining 1/3 for 'day trading' and immediate term trade.
Thanks, Beanie, in advance.
CHAO
Beanie;
23 comments by you and 50 from the peanut gallery.
Just want to say "THANKS" to you, for you and your passion.
Load up guys, tomorrow will be a good day- XNN will do better and HTI will hit a new high. Fearless predictions, or wishful thinking??? But seriously folks, I think NLST, XNN AND HTI will be a good play tomorrow for day trading- that's my feeling- better be because I am taking a day-off to do just that, good luck to all.
OSTK- looks really overstocked-overpriced and still losing big$$$. Too risky for me, even for a day trade.
Chao,
I want you to sell SEED first thing tomorrow and i'll tell ya where to put it.
pamfla,
OSTK is a scary business. This company looks like its imploding. Revenue isn't growing; in fact, it is shrinking from last year. They are losing money that they don't have. Sooner or later, they gotta sell stock.
I've asked my wife if what she thinks of OSTK, as she does alot of internet shopping. She said she couldn't find anything she needs over there. I gonna go with the wife; as she is usually right. She loves using Ebay and Google, even before they became megastocks. I personally like Amazon.com as i usually shop there.
sorry, the previous message was addressed to theflbeug, not pamfla.
Beanie,
I'm reading up on HTI, looks very promising business. Right now I think it's still relatively cheap- this could one of relatively unknown small cap that could double in short time. I shall consider keeping this one for a while. The first time I saw it was on PBS Nightly Business News, should be interesting to see how it will do tomorrow.
