The CPI number that just came out is not good. So be wary of a possible move down today.

IMO Alok got in way over his head with shorting stocks at a bad time. Probably got hit by margin calls. Had he instead bought my GIGM, NCNC, XING or ZONS, he would be smiling from ear to ear right now! :)

Hey guys come on now, be nice. I'm sorry I was away, I probably won't be able to come back for another couple of days. Boss is out sick and so i'm filling in. I haven't been able to even look at my portfolio. (and btw, margin calls lol, i have such a small portfolio). i did get caught on the wrong side of my shorts, but i bailed out last week. cant argue with this mkt, its going higher baby. no doubt about that. might go long ICE when it pulls back again.

Notice the gold rise? It is a strong indication that a market correction is coming, in my opinion. The big boys are positioning themselves for it, even though they're tellin us we're going higher.

Good to see you back Alok. I'm glad you were able to cover your short positions without too much of a loss. Yeah, it looks like this market is probably going higher short term. It took gosu a few hard thumps on the financial head before he was able to figure it out but he's long now too though that does make me a little uncomfortable....Anyways, hope to see you around more bud.

You used to be awesome, but lately
you had 2 really bad calls on shorting AAPL and ICE.
C'mon back to basics. Don't fight the trend of the market. When we have a strong market like we do now if you are negative on a stock just don't buy it or sell your position. Shorting on uptrending market is dangerous because lousy stocks go up.

I'm fairly new to the entire options thing (I've really only done covered calls). If I want to make a nice long term play on NYX, should I buy the Jan 2008 calls and roll them up to Jan 2009 near their expiration date or should I just go and buy the 2009 as my first trade?
