BIDU announced earnings last night. Guidance not that impressive, which makes the stock even more overvalued.
I want you guys to play it the same way like we did with NVDA yesterday. If it seems like it's about to go negative, short the hell out of it. March near/in the money puts can also be bought.
The stock is also trending downwards for the short/intermediate term.

BIDU getting smoked premarket. Do you expect a pop at the open? Looking for a good place to get in on some puts...
oh man, it never gapped up. You had to dive in premarket as soon as the first few trades were negative.
There should be a pop. Wait out the first 30 minutes after market opens. If a new low is made after that 30 minutes, short it. Alternatively, you can try to catch the short where the bounce ends.

lol, gosu the mark of a good trader is flexibility and identifying a trend. You've spent so much time and money trying to time the correction that you are now in a bad bad spot. You don't want to go long because you fear getting burnt but you also don't want to short with this strength. Identifying and riding trends are your best bet to making money son. Good luck.

I haven't been around that much lately -- I've been keeping an eye on FFHL since you recommended it. Do you think that now is a good time to get in? It doesn't seem to me like FFHL has too much room to go down.

Gosu, sorry to inform you but 9% yearly return is not market beating.
I have some indicators that I follow and never ignore them.
The trend in March 2000 was up up and away. A lot of people followed the trend and got burnt.
Today may not be March 2000, but my indicators are telling me to be in cash.
I am not completely out of the markets. I am strictly day trading.
Yesterday, Bear Sterns and Goldman Sachs got me some decent profits. I am happy to stay overnight in cash.
It is not yearly return buddy. It is return of a month and a half.
Did I ever say I will be out of the markets for the remainder of the year?
I have a trader status with the IRS and have to execute upwards ot 1000 trades to maintain that status.
Out of markets for a year??? I cannot stay out of the markets for 1 hour.

XING is the best; anyway stuck in AVCI till tomorrow am. Got in around 8.50.
Any ideas how this stock may open? I'll watch nite trading, always a good indicator except with XING - LOD today when I looked was 17.75. I said, man I'm glad I'm out and still this baby turned around in the GREEN...new highs!

Pamfla no doubt XING is a traders dream stock however you are no trader so I wouldn't recommend trying to time this one. XING is in full bull mode and IMO will see 30+ this year. It's a strong buy under 18. :)
