PGLA and Your Liver

PGLA stock closed @ 4.83

The stock went crazy several days ago on positive results of their liver cancer trial. The FDA clears the path for a Phase III clinical trial. More likely than not, it will run up on Monday. Is that a multiyear cup-and-handle i'm seeing? Of course it is.
http://finance.yahoo.com/charts#chart1:symbol=pgla;range=my;indicator=split+macd;charttype=line;crosshair=on;logscale=on;source=undefined

PGLA is a very speculative play.

I say you buy a 1/2 position now and buy the other 1/2 on a dip. Remember your goal is to win some free shares and move on. (You never know what those free shares could mean to you 5 years from now.)

Short to intermediate term play.

whats up beanniee, I got a question...I was watching cramer and he was talking about JCG and how there is a huge lockup. There is a gigantic lockup. 38% of JCG's shares, of which can't be sold right now for their owners, can be on the 27th of this month. Would it be a good thing to short? He was saying to
buy buy buy, but if 38 percent of the shares are sold, isn't it going to go down big???....Brett

brett,

It really depends on the general interest on those shares. I think the big boys like the stock and will accumulate on any weakness due to the sells. Regardless, there will probably be some short term (very short term) downward pressure when the sells do hit the fan. Cramer probably referring to the intermediate to longer term when he recommended the stock.

Also can anyone recommend tax software that handles wash sales accurately? thanks

I see TRMM going to $3 short term and $5 to $6 long term. I would suggest you take some profit today.

I have to agree with Beanie, it is a little risky but I will be holding it for couple months.

ok, pgla is halted under the t.1 code. This means Trading is halted pending the release of material news. so hopefully it is good. I bought on friday and now im sweating it out..Brett

Maybe this is a dumb question --but if one hadn't yet entered PGLA, and one thought the news would be good, would it make sense to enter a stop limit order to buy shares, with an activation price higher than the current price and a limit a little higher? (In other words, if the news is good, I presume one could imagine that there would be a gap up -- so I would enter an activation price at say, 5.00 and a limit maybe at 5.30. This is a somewhat tight order for a stock -- but if it gapped up more than this, I would just assume I missed the boat and wait for the next opportunity.) Does this make sense or is it foolish? Comments?

Hey sgv and brett,
I have both pntr and forg.
Nice to see the moves. I have a bunch of forg at 1.05 and just a little left of PNTR at 20.33 (ouch).
Down so far on PNTR that I plan on taking it to the grave but plan on selling some more FORG if it continues to move and I think it will. In fact I think it will see 3.00+ after all the news and good quarter.

Thanks,

Lee,
I acquired 1500 shares last week at .98 and bought another 5000 on margins last friday for 1.09. Unloaded 1500 today at 1.40. Will ride the 5000 until I can see a little bit more-hopefully we can see $3.00 soon.
If not I'll sell at around $2 or less. Trick is take whatever you can because I am using margins. Good Luck, it's really been very rewarding this year.

Neil,
If good news keep on coming in for ZVUE, then it's really worth watching this one for your long term stock. I'm keeping my 510 shares for at least a few months and see if the media revolution can sustain the attraction for this stock. I see PGLA has already appreciated 83% for the last month. How much it can go higher will be interesting to see. I have not decided if I'll put money on this one. But good luck to all who would, hope it really takes off like a rocket.

SGV: In a moment that perhaps betrays my inexperience, I was ready to dump ZVUE last week and take my loss. Thanks to alerts that I received from you, Beanie, JSPADE and others - I held. I think you're right though, there is a lot of potential here and patience may very well pay off.

Have a great night and see you in the a.m.
