I noticed there is ZVUE and ZVUEW. Both the same company, moving in the same direction with the same momentum and in sync. The only difference, one is half the price of the other. Why 2 Z's???

ZVUEW is a 5-year warrant. A warrant is sort of a long term option.
STX was just downgraded recently. I can buy this for a long term hold but could be a long wait.
MRVL is a good play. Positive earnings growth but ZVUE is defintely very speculative, could possibly go sideways or lower- better play small!
MRVL is safer bet.

While I do think it is significant to download user-generated video to your portable player, I think google is very smart and will eventually do that w/ youtube (and make it profitable, I'm sure). I personally think that google is so dominant at what they do that there will be little room for another "youtube"...of course i could be wrong, thinking about getting some zvue. Think 1,000 shares is too much? (approx 30% of portfolio)

also, google paid an insane amount for youtube simply because it's so POPULAR....and with that popularity comes the potential for profit....most people haven't even heard of zvue as far as I know.

SAI is a good stock. Short term oversold.
SMSI, it better hold that 50dayMA of 15.80 or it might drop another 2 bucks. But intermediate to longer term, it should make new highs.

NYX: too late to sell it if you didnt do so this morning. Hold it for the intermediate to longer term.
PNTR: daytraders ain't gonna feel like bidding this thing higher without a good market. I guess that fact that it's still green means that there are indeed interest in the stock.
ZVUE: consolidating. Decent support to low 6 to mid 6. There is a possibility it could get to the low 6.

To trade stocks, you shouldn't be unidirectional. Today was a great day for shorting (going in the other direction). I believe tomorrow will provide another opportunity for shorting. I hate to be out of market when there are such big moves.
Last few days, there have been some stocks mentioned here that went up huge, and when the trend reserves, dont be a hater, just follow it.

I think it's the usual after thanksgiving holiday sale- most people are just taking profit. Just like last year, after Thanksgiving, the market drops. Could be a good time to buy the dip, I did. Was able to buy RVBD at 31.02- from a low of 31 today. Maybe time to rethink our position? My holdings is diversified now, just lost only 4.6% today.

PNTR is still going up tomorow, buy the dip if possible. Just my gut feeling. Going up to 40 soon. JMHO.
Pam- if you can ride it out, it'll go up again in a few days to lessen your loss, if not sell now at highest price and move on- charge it to experience.

holy cow, if you're on max margin (i totally don't recommend that), you needed to get out on any sign of trouble. Now you will start to understand why i hate margin.

CNLG: i don't even want to comment on this turd, which has been around for years.
DAGM: no profits, not a hot sector. I ain't feelin THAT speculative. I'd stay away.
ZVUE: tomorrow's morning dip could be a really good buy for a daytrade.

I don't usually give short picks because shorting can be dangerous, especially if you're short and the company gets acquired the next day! The market indexes are the places you want to short, as opposed to individual stocks. If you're thinking about shorting a stock, you're better off selling the stock you own and buy back later.

For swing trades, do you think a package like Telechart is essential. I have around 10k in my tradng account and want to learn some more. If this is the case is it worthwhile investing 1k on Telechart every year?

You really don't need to use sophisticated software like the Telechart. Just use whatever your brokerage gives ya. They're all pretty decent. With 10k principle that you have, it is really not worth it to pay for software like that.

i find it hard to believe that NYX won't stay above 100 tomorrow. Next support is the 94-95 area. It should definately bounce there, unless there's a huge market selloff, like we had in May.
PNTR is up above 20 in after hours trading. Hope it continues....

WOW...97 posts - Incredible, the trend seems to be pump and dumb. EFUT was the only stock that remained strong for 4 to 5 days.
