The last few years have been great to me, as i was able to clobber the S&P500 many times in returns. But of course, you can't make a living trading the markets if you don't make great great returns. I'll try to give my readers trades that i think will make them money. However, you need to have money management skills, in order not to lose everything on a greedy or stupid trade. I may or may not already be in the trades i recommend. I may or may not trade the stocks i recommend. Due diligence is required on your part and the usual disclaimer that i am not responsible for your losses always apply. Hi Beanie,
Please look at this article explaining the shortfall of Biodiesel and ethanol industry: http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/uk_news/6516893.stm.

My conclusion is oil is going to $100 and the Bush's war Iraq is a total boost for oil price.

"en fuego" is Spanish for "on fire".

Tue Apr 03, 12:37:00 PM EDT
Blogger gosu said...

n 1994, when calling the highlights for a game in which Marv Albert described Sam Cassell as being "on fire", Dan Patrick said he was "el fuego", which he thought was Spanish for "on fire". A few months later, he received a letter from a Spanish teacher in Pennsylvania suggesting that he say that athletes are "en fuego" (on fire) rather than "el fuego" (the fire). Since then, Patrick has used "en fuego" on certain occasions when a player is said to be "on fire". Note that "en fuego" is an Anglicism in Spanish, since it is a literal translation from English, and other translations would be more fitting, e.g. prendido ("lit" or "fired up"). Patrick started using the "en fuego" phrase because he believed the standard "on fire" phrase had become cliché.

Oil is just consolidating itself before the next run. OIL (or USO) had a 5% plus run last week. When you are on a marathon, you stop a bit to catch your breath. Same thing with this marathon run of oil.
And, there is NO WAY that situation with Iran will be resolved. Iranians are just buying time with captured British soldiers.
BOMBS, BIG HUGE BUNKER BUSTER BOMBS have "Take that Iran" written all over them and are deployed in the persian gulf right now.
The maneuvers with 15 warships and more than 100 aircraft were sure to heighten tensions with Iran, which has frequently condemned the U.S. military presence off its coast and is in a faceoff with the West over its nuclear program and its capture of a British naval team.

JakeGint, Re. PRFT, I like today's action in the chart, plus the candlestick formation on the daily chart, the last two days. I believe, if I calculated correctly, the volume incresed by over 40% today from yesterday. Unlike what I did, when I bought SMSI prior to open, instead of letting it open, then ignoring it and buying JSDA to ride for the day (man will the rookie errors ever cease...and I am 102 years old), watch the open. Look at the last candlestick on the three minute chart (low 20.67/high 20.7). If it does not gap on opening, but trades above 20.85, Pristine would call it a "buy". Hope this helps. - Steve

JakeGint, I don't feel as comfortable with GRMN's chart. Looks like it sustained an "island reversal" a few weeks back, and seemningly needs to clear 56.10 to "think" about closing the gap above 56.30 from the gap down on Feb 26 - 27. - Steven

JakeGint, Re. PLLL, I just typed a treatise and lost it; suffice is to say, I like the 13" chart and how it stacks up with all the moving averages I use, also like the 60" chart and daily...a lot. Much greater volume today than yesterday, and it appears that it is poised to complete a second type of "cup and handle" formation from 10 days ago. If it clears 23.50, I think it will run. Thank you again for the QID remembrance. Hope this helps. - Steven

Followup on PLLL to JakeGint: It has sold off in afterhours down to 23.01 and there was a nasty doji on the one minute chart that showed up one minute before close. Again, probably prudent to let it open, follow the action forthwith, and see what the oil report gives you. - Steven

As I have said before:
1) Show me the volume.
2) Show me some market leaders, and
3) Show me some market leaders on high volume.
But at the same time, there is absolutely no reason to panic. My trading strategy - buy anything of my favorite stocks on dips - exchanges, brokerages, casinos and some ADRs on dips and sell them for a decent profit. I am not holding anything beyond a couple of days right now.
Never fight the market.

with that said, i wouldnt give up on it, the retracement in the past few days is not significant, its still retracting in the upper quad of the big move. i'd keep it in my watchlist for a quick trade if it starts to show any signs of life. look at DNDN or JSDA to see how these big movers retrace. (comeon guys it moved from 2.5 to 4.8 how can you not expect a decent pullback)

SKI i see money on HNSN lol, today was a short term bottom to an uptrend. it pulled back for most of the second half of last month, today its taken back all of its losses from yesterday, if we open higher and trade up tomorrow then it should retest the prev high of 22.67, however i would set my stop at 17.9 incase we are wrong.

those interested in FIB, it almost hit the 61.8% retracement. you can expect a small resistance at 19.43. i really would like to see some upside vol pick up but i'm willing to settle for up days. RSI is above 50 a good sign. hmm what else can i say :)
