I am now slapping FSLR with a new price target: $170
within 2 years or less. My initial target was $70 and it looks like it will be reached very soon.

Incidentally, a Bank of America analyst just initiated coverage on FSLR with a $72 price target.
I still believe alternative energy will lead the next bull market, because i don't see anything else. Everything else looks already played out. Solar technology and alternative energy technologies in general are disruptive.
Other solar companies that are profitable include SPWR, TSL, STP and WFR.

Snake oil saleman?
It's actually an improper term that alot of people use but don't know the historical perspective of.
It was popular in the 1900's was because it actually worked for alot of people that had arthritis or joint pain. It originated in China but when it was brought to Europe, the European pharmacies actually felt threatened by the competition and so they attacked the remedy. (It's kinda like natural vitamins vs. patented pharmaceutical drugs today. Pharmaceutical companies will always have something against natural healing. It should be obvious as to why.)

Lot of free air above $4 for this one, might be prudent to wait for it....

GS, for the past 3 sessions has so tightly clinged on to the level of 210, I have been able to day trade it several times, buying it just below 210 and selling it near 211.

Boomer, in most cases that indicates to me that the stock should head higher. i mean breaking the BB alone cannot be the driver, but if you use this indicator in conjunction with a few others (RSI/MASD to name a few), you will have a pretty good idea of where the stock is heading. also the amount of movement is important too, a very large movement could move the stock straight into overbought territory. (an amatuer explanation at best, i'm sure you knew all this, i was hoping someone else would give you your answer).

I try spreads every once in a while, but always, end up break even, cause I don't know what I'm doing...so, I gave up...

I am still holding on ASTI, FSLR, ISE, and ONXX as my long term investment. ASTI should hit $12 in April IMO. I am planning to buy some SPWR at about $45 ~ $45.5 tomorrow to add in as well. SPWR should hit new 52 week high very soon.

Pam, i would expect CSGI to take a breather, nothing goes up in a straight line. CSGI has gone from 1.23 to 2.5 in about a month so people have doubled their money. you should expect to see some selling at this price, i think it should come down a little.
MS is closing in the gap Gosu.

You guys that say you are going to short a stock at a point, would itbe safer t just buy a put on that stock when it reaches the high point? You would only have to risk the amount paid for the short which would be much less than a regular position and you could always buy it back fthe trade goes bad without risking and tying up so much more invested in a regular short position...especially if the stock, lik alot of you trade which are in the 40 to 400 price ranges. Any thoughts?
Advise:
I like to use puts, but there's even more risk in using them, since they move a lot faster than the underlying stock. Benefit is, as you mentioned, you don't tie as much capital up as you would shorting a stock (and there's a definite loss cap, even it's total). Negative is, they can go to zero faster than you'd imagine.
