Solar stocks are en fuego. There is a fundamental change in the solar cells technology landscape that makes solar stocks a great investment. Achieving grid parity (solar power to be competitive to current electricity) is almost a certainty within the next 4-5 years (i.e. FSLR claims they could achieve grid parity by 2010-2012!).
I like FSLR, WFR, STP, SPWR, and others that will certainly go public in the not too distant future.

you see this part always confuses me. who micmic who. does the world's sentiment rub on on the US mkts or does the US mkt sentiment rub of on the world.
just logically thinking, for today because we had a huge catalyst in US, i think the world mkts will benefit from US sentiments. other days, like when the chinese mkt crashed, the overseas mkts rubbed off on US. so i guess whoever has the catalyst impacts others, i think?
so you feel we will not have any follow through from today, that might be quite expected. after the best day in 2007 lets have a dud.

With TSL trading at 44.6, Put in a buy order for TSL at 45, add condition, buy if TSL >=44.99.
Attach bracket order to sell at 1% higher.
SLD at 45.44.
MSFT down 1.6%, GS down 0.6%. AAPL, GOOG down too.
I don't like it.

Pam, thanks!. i would be very cautious going long for tomorrow if your horizon is short term. the mkts have run up huge this week. day traders like beanie and the lot will be looking to sell tomorrow and book their weekly profits. thats why i booked half, cause i want to keep the other half for a longer swing trade.
if you want to day trade it, then i feel you will greatly increase your odds of success by looking at which direction the mkt will go tomorrow. i'm going to do some searching for good short candidates for tomorrow in the night cause i feel we will be doing down tomorrow.

Airlines are down on the open skies agreement. More competition coming soon. This is probably pretty bad news for UAUA, and related to the cost cutting measure announced yesterday. The airline with the lowest CASM is going to be the winner. That being said, buy Delta once the emerge from bankruptcy next month! With their economies of scale at ATL they have the lowest CASM out of the network carriers.
To your point, CAL down off it's already broken neckline... should be quite shortable here.

Actually Pam the mkt acted a little better than what was expected. Normally after such a huge day we would have seen a down day, but today was partially up, so now i'm very skeptical about tomorrow. i think beanie has the same feeling, so lets work on identifying shorts for tomorrow.

As Ive stated in previous posts,
charts, technicals and fundamentals are virtually thrown out the window with most OTC.BB traded issues and should NOT be traded buy a novice investor. I realize if you trade small and feel that you can buy many more shares of a "cheap stock" the risks involved is not worth it for you,
I would advise to trade listed NMS or NYSE issues at this time always using a STOP ORDER and strict discipline and the learning experience/process will come easier and you will not lose alot of money in the market.
IE. if you have an account worth 10k and you buy 100,000 shares of a penny stock @ .05,
hoping and dreaming of retiring filthy rich when the stock goes to 100 bucks you will be out of the game quick, However, on the other hand if you heeded beanies advice and bought 100 shares of WFR @ $50 a few weeks ago for the same cost and the stock breaks new highs here today at 60 - 61 bucks, your account equity is 11k and you got yourself a winner.
I only dropped ZROS here on the board @ .75 because of big volume picking up and I truly believe it can be a huge winner, that said, I also realize the stock can be halted, be a scam and go to zero.[no pun intended]
As for VRA it was a strict volume and price alert on an AMEX listed penny stock that was virtually going out of business, they re-issued shares the stock was bottomed at two cents and I hopped on the MO - JO of 200+ million shares trading early on and now its seven cents and im out.
The moral of the story, please dont trade "penny stocks" unless you are very much aware of the risks involved and know how to trade them.
I play with maybe a hand full a year and its just for fun. If you would like to read my article on penny stock investing I will be adding one to my blog this weekend.
