The stock is now above the 200dayMA of 31.83 on the daily chart and also above the 40dayMA of 32.12 on the weekly chart. If it can keep staying above those averages next week, it is very bullish that will send this stock to much higher prices.
Earnings have nearly doubled from last year, exluding the costs of the failed LSE acquisition. The company indicates they are going into options aggressively, which should help further the price.
I think the stock will see $60 by year end.

Jet MAY is normally a bad month but i dont think any of us are thinking that we'll be seeing a correction. Pullbacks yes, correction NO.
No correction whatsoever. All pullbacks are opportunities to load up on others expense.
Do not even think about shorting anything. You will get burnt big time.

I don't think JSDA is the next HANS, but i think it can get to $50.
HANS has a category killer business - energy drinks - that no other can compete. HANS' Monster (and Red Bull) dominates and leaving everybody in the dust.
JSDA, on the other hand, is into the soda business, where Pepsi and Coke absolutely dominate. What JSDA has is a niche - premium sodas - from what my eyes can see at this point.
But the soda business is a much bigger business ($70 billion) than energy drinks. So if JSDA can take market share from Coke and Pepsi, even a slight one, they should do extremely well (as HANS).
Next week should be really good for the bulls. But be careful in May.

Beanz, here is a contratian view on JSDA, and i hope to god that i'm wrong.
we all know what happened to Whole foods - WFMI. it IPO'ed wallsteet loved it, it ran up. suddenly walmart woke up and said it wanted a piece of the organic mkt, and so did kroger and the whole damn world. we all know what followed you can just look at WFMI chart for the picture.
my fear is - what will happen to JSDA if PEPSI and COKE wake up and do the same thing to JSDA. so till we dont see any competition its BUY BUY BUY and then it will be SELL SELL SELL :), hopefully beanz will tell us what to do.

Richard, have patience, DNDN is getting to a point where its ready to start moving up again. i hope its not the largest holding in your portfolio, this is purely speculative money, but you have to give it time to work for you.
dont worry that JSDA thought was for the longer term, nothing is going to happen to it in the next 3-6 months atleast maybe even a year.
alok one thing i may mention about jdsa is that the only place i have seen it available is at sams club and target - probably since sams club has it, walmart will have it too!!! may not be a problem i have also noticed that coca cola specials are fewer at the grocery stores where i live and i feel that is strange - usually the distributors offer special prices from time to time, but coca cola has not been on special as much as pepsi and they are doing well, right??
so alok if coke and pepsi want to take jsda out they will take a lot of theor profits out -- jsda is already cheap!!!!
well there are two options, they can either buy out JSDA or start a fresh line for themselves. buy out is pay day for JSDA longs. the other one will come at a considerable cost to PEP or KO. remember this is a hypothetical situation :) just debating.

I put back all the money I gain this year on DNDN being approved. I now holds at least 1600 shares. Yes, I too did not sell it all when it went up to 25. But I am still ahead and I like my chances. If not, it's a good try and there will be some other time to make that money back.

i know i've been pumping GIGM for awhile now, but it looks as if it's a juicy time to get inot GIGM right now. here are my reasons:
- a pre-earnings run is likely to start now as the Q107 ER is due in the 2nd week of May
- a Roth Capital Investments report came out last week mentioning that GIGM's CEO stated they were "in advanced talks to acquire a Japanese online gaming operator and expects to close the deal by the end of June" = in other words, it will be an accretive acquisition
- GIGM's cash-wagering Mahjong licensee, Carmen Media, will be rolling-out their Mahjong website at any time
- GIGM just announced the appointment of Samuel Chou, a renowned entertainment industry executive, as head of online games and entertainment for GigaMedia = the speculation is that GIGM will now be recruiting advertisers for their Funtown group websites
a lot is going on with GIGM right now & they are growing at 40% YOY while only trading at a 20X multiple

yaar gosu, i have huge concerns about the indian software companies which is obviously not shared by wallstreet.

NEW YORK (AP) -- A Goldman Sachs analyst said Monday new stock exchange regulations taking effect this year are good for Nasdaq Stock Market Inc. and bad for NYSE Euronext Inc.
Goldman Sachs analyst Joshua R. Carter upgraded Nasdaq to "Buy" from "Neutral," and downgraded NYSE to "Sell" from "Neutral." He said buying Nasdaq and selling NYSE is a good way to bet on how Regulation NMS, which will be fully implemented in July, will affect the exchange industry.
Drafted in 2005, Regulation NMS forces brokers on an exchange to check other market centers for better prices before executing a trade. The aim is to ensure clients obtain a stock for the best price regardless of what exchange their broker trades on.
Nasdaq is faster and has better technology than NYSE's New York Stock Exchange, Carter said. It is better suited to an industry under the new regulations than NYSE, he said.
Carter expects the regulations to erode NYSE's market share. He cut his 2007-2009 earnings estimates for the exchange by about 8 percent, on average. The analyst raised his annual 2007-2009 earnings estimate for Nasdaq by 6 percent, on average, because he is more confident the electronic exchange can continue stealing market share from NYSE.
NYSE Group closed on its $14.3 billion acquisition of Paris-based stock-market operator Euronext NV in April, creating the first trans-Atlantic stock exchange.
Shares of NYSE Euronext fell $5.03, or 5.5 percent, to $87.30 in afternoon trading on the Big Board. Nasdaq's stock jumped $1, or 3.2 percent, to $33.16 on the Nasdaq.

What Does Reg NMS Mean for Stock Exchanges?

Opinion: A new set of rules passed by the Securities and Exchange Commission will influence IT investment for exchanges and for retail brokers for the next two years, if not longer.

A set of rules called the Regulation National Market System intends to modernize and strengthen the markets for equity securities. One of its more controversial provisions, which will have a significant IT effect on U.S. exchanges, is the trade-through rule, which is currently used at the New York Stock Exchange.
With the passage of Reg NMS, the trade-through rule will be extended to all U.S. exchanges that trade equities—including the NYSE (New York Stock Exchange), Nasdaq and AMEX (the American Stock Exchange) —by April 2006.
ADVERTISEMENT "This is the most sweeping and controversial change to U.S. markets in 30 years," said Bill Cline, a senior analyst at Accenture.
Cline said he thinks the NYSE is clearly the big winner, as the extension of the trade-through rule to the Nasdaq will help it retain its dominant share in trading listed stocks, as well as helping it gain share in trading Nasdaq stocks.

Some say the trade-through rule, which was first instituted in 1975, guarantees that investors will get the best price for their trade executions. A market system would not allow one customer to "trade through" an existing order without first matching that order. A customer's order has to be routed to the destination with the best price at the moment the order is entered.
The problem with extending the trade-through rule from the NYSE to Nasdaq and other exchanges is that the NYSE is not a fully automated system. The effect on the automated Nasdaq system, for example, would be to drastically slow it down, when one of the advantages of the system is the way it automatically matches buyers and sellers.
Many online brokers have implemented "smart order routing" technology, which scans the markets and finds the best place to execute a customer's order, based on price and liquidity. Extending the trade-through rule most likely will negate much of that innovative development.
"The passage of Reg NMS was expected, but in our view it's not a good thing for our investors," said Vince Phillips, CEO of CyberTrader, an online brokerage that caters to very active traders. Phillips said he thinks their smart order routing technology will be made ineffective next April.
"One of the major drivers of price reductions in our industry has been the automation of order entry and execution," Phillips said. "Reg NMS is a blip on that ongoing evolutionary process."
The majority of retail brokers came out against Reg NMS because routing orders to the Nasdaq has given them lower costs as well as faster transaction processing. "Brokers will have to spend money to accommodate the rule, and those costs will be passed on to customers," Phillips said.

Hi to everyone! I'm new here. Anyways, I built a free butterfly today on DNDN. Long 20 May 30 calls @ 0.65, long 20 May 40 calls @ 0.25 & short 40 May 35 calls @ 0.50 (actually it was even +$150 right away) and no risk positive potential if DNDN ends up within [30,40] after May 15.
Congrats to all people who bought DNDN last friday at low 15. AH closed at 17.05. Could get higher tomorrow. This one is a rule breaker for day traders: should keep it longer term (over a year)for higher returns and less tax.

My thanks guys on DNDN thoughts and update - haven't been posting much as my laptop has had a serious vitrus (CPVFeed), but after spending the weekend on it, I think I got it removed. Felt good to do it myself - but next time I'll forego the warm fuzzy feeling and pay someone -lol.

One interesting thing to check out is the five minute volume stick w/ regard to accumulation and/or distribution... you can do the math quick in your head (w/ regard to the diff beteen the red and black stix) and see if a move up is running out of gas, has no mo behind it, etc... pretty nice little check (of course there's also the AD line, but I sometimes like to go back to the cave to make myself feel better).

Trying a fib calculation on NYX. If we take the 108.21 Jan 10th high, and the 80.59 March 5th low, the 78.6% fib is 86.5. Is that how it's done?
If that's right, we are below the fib retracement, and just above Zee's 84 price. Sweet spot?

Run a virusscan in safe mode (again) using a good AV. Use NOD32 or AVAST or KASPERSKY.
Have realtime scan ON ALWAYS. If you have a "fast" system you wont notice anything.
I would sugggest investing in an AV software rather than having someone come and removing it for you.
Spyware are notorious for having key loggers. This is the worst kind IMHO.

i got the short early in the morning at 21.75, now i'm setting a good tgt to cover. wonder if it will close the gap and get to the 20.75 level or go lower. since this is a short i'm not going to get too greedy, will need to cover soon, not today.
Delta Air Lines is coming out of bankruptcy next week. I've never followed how a company leaving bankruptcy issues new shares, but are they done in a traditional IPO? If you can get on the ground floor on this, buy it hand over fist.
Rawls asked about the NYX fibs... I had an old one drawn from the original up and down, and we're through everything but the 100% retrace at about $80 on that one, but I also drew a more recent one, which is interesting...
The 3/16 move starts at about 80.86 and goes to the peak at 4/3 of 101.12 (also know as "the Beanniee buy! buy! buy! day"). Since then we have retraced all the way back to the 78.6% line of 85.22 (plus a little more). It's been sitting at this level for a while, and I'd look for a bounce off here... but no buy before it.

or doubled down..with matching funds....equaling my original...investment of......3.40...may 85call....

However...on apa..going up to $78.......$78...that equals.... rsi 85..or 90...that's about the strongest short sell signal...ever.....
to..me it's just a better opportunity....than the original ....to get in...on a better situation.....

here's another story on another call situation...That day TM....hit RSI..25....did i panic on my TM call....i saw it as a gift....i didn’t buy more ...but i wish i had.....TM.call......went on to 240%....profit....
