The last few years have been great to me, as i was able to clobber the S&P500 many times in returns. But of course, you can't make a living trading the markets if you don't make great great returns. I'll try to give my readers trades that i think will make them money. However, you need to have money management skills, in order not to lose everything on a greedy or stupid trade. I may or may not already be in the trades i recommend. I may or may not trade the stocks i recommend. Due diligence is required on your part and the usual disclaimer that i am not responsible for your losses always apply. I have no affiliations with any broker/dealer and all posts are for educational purposes only. Major call to action: buy SMSI!

SMSI is now trading @ 17.50

SMSI has been recommended several times already. The time may be absolutely right to get in right now. Earnings is this Wednesday. Just today, Verizon announced impressive earnings. It could be due to their Music Essentials kits, created by the partnership of Verizon and Smith Micro (SMSI).

Intermediate to longer term play.

of course, only a small to infinitesmal portion of Verizon's earnings was due to the Music Essentials. I was checking if you're paying attention. lol

SMSI is expected to announce blowout earnings by a respected money manager.

anonymous,

AKAM is short term oversold. But it doesnt seem like wants to bounce much. I would be learning more towards $42 before $49

hey, i'm about to do a swingshort on AKAM if it falls below 45.75 this time around.

You still dont believe CTXS has already bottomed at $28?

Mon Oct 30, 02:33:00 PM EST
Blogger beanie11111 said...

AKAM: I never entered the short, as the 45.70-45.75 area held. There was a quick break below that but it immediately bounced. Just didnt seem to want to come down. Note that it is very short term oversold.

We'll see what tomorrow brings.

Not much action on the blog.
DIVX is down alot, wish I had some $ to add at this time. Great report and the cc was super, I think the lower guidance for next quarter revenue is the reason it is down. Lower guidance was do to a one time payment from gogle for some lisc. fees that will not repeat. Was very impressed with the business model and future plans.

LMRA: I suggest you own a small position for the longer term. You never know when that huge gap up (making today's look like peanuts) will occur.

LMRA: It's no longer the next QCOM because their wireless bridges are only for the last mile. However, LMRA now has a product, in conjunction with Harvard, that should make it the next AFFX.

Blogger beanie11111 said...

LMRA: What is most exciting about it is actually their microarray biosensor. By combining it with Harvard's technology, the new product could do 10,000 samples (if i remember correctly) at one time. This is huge.

Unless you've had some education in the biosciences field, I don't think you guys grasp the significance of today's announcement.

The volume traded in LMRA the last 2 weeks is enormous. You can almost be certain that there is alot of interest in the stock. It's as everybody is waiting for news to take this baby much higher. $10 is already a foregone conclusion , imo.

Today i made this comment:

Because it was a post after the LMRA post, some of you may have thought i was referring to the stock LMRA. No! I was referring to the general market. Unless i say a stock in particular in my posts, i usually mean the general market.

Sorry about that.

What is your short and long term outlook for NBR, EBAY, and TOMO? Thanks a bunch.

anonymous,

nah, i've been tracking alot of my recommendations. There are plenty of time to get in. Luckily most of my recommendations, i have the swingtrader in mind, even though the daytrader is my top priority. Almost all the swingtrades are profitable.

SMSI - first call at 13.96, which was profitable all the way to this morning. It is unprofitable for those who held thru all of yesterday and today, but not to worry. I believe it will be very profitable for everybody soon.

GRMN - slight loss, but will be profitable sooner than later.

LMRA - called awhile ago, and recalled yesterday. Highly profitable today.

XMSR - recent call very profitable

YHOO - very profitable

CTXS - very profitable

NUAN - very profitable

EBAY/EXEL - kinda neutral

DIVX - profitable

RVBD - super profitable

INTC - profitable

CRM - profitable

NYX - profitable

PCLN - very profitable

AAPL - profitable

VLO - called several different times. profitable to neutral.

AKAM - profitable

MA - nicely profitable

NWS - profitable

TIE - loss to profitable, depending on how long you held.

RMBS - profitable

SHFL - very profitable

--------

Hard to imagine nobody made money with with these recommendations.

Let's rock!

Make sure you got some funds to play, when the calls come.

anonymous,

EBAY - hitting resistance. Need a positive market to break above it.

NBR - could go either way from these levels.

TOMO - intermediate to longer term, it's headed higher. GRMN earnings is this week. If they impress, it should give TOMO a boost.

Blogger beanie11111 said...

regarding SMSI: if you bought yesterday and today, SMSI is sitting at a loss for you. But let's see what the earnings report brings tomorrow nite.

Tue Oct 31, 10:52:00 PM EST
Blogger beanie11111 said...

SMSI: I have also indicated to buy the dip today below 17. I believe those who were brave will be rewarded tomorrow.

Tue Oct 31, 10:54:00 PM EST
Blogger beanie11111 said...

SMSI: I don't know if the afterhours trades are fake trades, but i do know that the stock will go higher tomorrow from today's close. The technicals indicate so.

LMRA: Remember it went up over 2.50 points in a day! I could be wrong but i think the stock will digest the gains today, as evidenced by the large sells on this morning's gap up.
