The last few years have been great to me, as i was able to clobber the S&P500 many times in returns. But of course, you can't make a living trading the markets if you don't make great great returns. I'll try to give my readers trades that i think will make them money. However, you need to have money management skills, in order not to lose everything on a greedy or stupid trade. I may or may not already be in the trades i recommend. I may or may not trade the stocks i recommend. Due diligence is required on your part and the usual disclaimer that i am not responsible for your losses always apply. LMRA - the next Qualcomm?

LMRA closed @ 6.45 on yesterday. (It's trading at $7.30 premarket right now. You may want to wait out the first 30 minutes of trading to see if LMRA still trades above $7 before buying. A huge gap up like this usually results in a morning selloff.)

Actually, for now, it is a very speculative tech play. The company claims its initial test of their "millimeter wave wireless bridge" was a success. We're talking about incredible wireless speeds that will make the internet much more exciting.

I said several days ago that i wanna see it trade above $7 again before really buying the stock. And so it has.

I suggest you buy and keep some shares. The reason is several fold:

1) Lots of interest from traders. I know this because of the high volume, and it took out the previous high of $7.10 from two days ago.

2) In the next few years, any company that can contribute to Web 2.0 should benefit.

3) Remember Altaire (ALTI)? That nanotech stock traded above 400 million market cap just a few years ago, on hype alone. LMRA is more exciting than ALTI, especially considering the popularity of the internet. If LMRA trades at 400 million market cap, it would be a $25 stock. I am now very confident it will get there.

4) Management had said that there are already customers lining up for their technology, once commercialized. This should be enough to keep traders very interested in the stock.

5) An independent bigger test is taken place right now and the results should be announced next month, as indicated by the most recent press release. This should keep traders interested until then. Positive results and word of commercialization and customers next month should send the stock to new highs. If everything is as real and positive as management have led us to believe, we may have the next QCOM!

6) Intel and Cisco have both invested in LMRA several years ago. There must be something about LMRA that they liked.

7) Detractors of the stock says that LMRA's milliwave technology is no different than TRBM's. I beg to differ. TRBM says on their website that they could transfer up to 1.25Gbps. LMRA says they can transfer 10Gbps!

8) We're talking about optical fiber speeds WITHOUT the laying of fibers, because it's done wirelessly. That should drop the costs of super highspeed data/video transmission dramatically.

Ok, i want you guys to own some, but please don't own big. It's still a very speculative story stock right now. We'll get a better idea of the company next month.

Longer term play. I recommend selling 1/2 at near a double and riding the rest for free. I am pinning an initial target of $25.

LMRA got slammed the last 30 minutes of trading due to a technicals breakdown from profit taking. Those who got in at $5 or below two days ago were happy with at least a 60% profit.

LMRA is now a very great daytrading stock as well due to the immense volume.

Rather than calling somebody an idiot why can't you engage in a civilized dialogue. I come here to get some ideas and informations.
If you lost money because you adopted his stock picks, you alone are resposible for your loss. I don't believe every word he says, and if I have any further interest in any of his recommendations, I do my own research and the decision to buy or sell is always mine.

Then if you made up your mind that it's just all a "pump", why do you bother to read and post?

Well guys, I did buy his picks on RVBD and DIVX and I just sold it yesterday and I made really good money! You got to follow up on your own and verify all info and do all kinds of research. After all it's your money! Don't blame the guy if he's so excited about the stock market. Unless you really think investing in stocks is easy money. Unless you know what you are doing you could lose a lot money. Stick to lottery and casinos if you really want to gamble. Serious investing takes a lot of time, money and luck.

Anonymous,

I thought the LMRA call was still a good one. Remember that it was meant for a longer term play, as stated in the post. Specifically, we are essentially holding the stock until the results of the tests next month. Even so, those who bought at the low $7, like i did, have made money as a daytrader. (Remember that i am first and foremost a daytrader, so every call i make has to take on that perspective first. That means i try to make my calls immediately profitable for the daytraders.)

Please understand your timeframe for holding the stock. If you treated it as a daytrade, that's over a $1 profit. Obviously, those who treat it as a swing or longer term trade have lost money if they entered today. If you're swing or position (intermediate term) or longer term trading, then you need to give it more than a day for the stock to perform. After all, i just called the stock this morning!!!

I have stated that LMRA is for a longer term play. So for non-daytraders it remains to be seen whether i am wrong about the play.

$5.50 area is short term support for LMRA.

Stay tuned...

Have a great weekend!

LMRA: I suggest you all to go the company's website and read all their press releases this year. I did, and i am growing more and more confident that LMRA will start to realize their potential this year. I believe investors will take serious notice of this company when 4th quarter earnings are announced.

I want to give ya some press releases that you may want to read:

http://ir.lumera.com/phoenix.zhtml?c=181846&p=irol-newsArticle&ID=877242&highlight=
" Lumera has begun presales activities for its ProteomicProcessor(TM) platform in anticipation of the product launch in the fourth quarter. In addition to the demonstration at Cold Spring Harbor, Lumera is ramping their sales and marketing activities which include a focus group of therapeutic antibody companies, presentations at leading biotechnology and pharmaceutical companies, and product presentation at leading conferences. In anticipation of the fourth quarter product launch, the company has begun to increase sales and marketing personnel, recently adding an Applications Scientist to support the growing user base."

"We were pleased during the first quarter that we finalized two very important collaborative agreements that demonstrate clear progress toward achieving our outlined strategy. We continue to gain market validation of our products and expect this acceptance will translate to increased revenues later this year," said Lumera Chief Executive Officer Tom Mino."

" "We are very proud to have been selected by DARPA for this important project. The recent advance that Lumera has made on our polymers' electro-optic properties and device design was a key factor in our winning this contract over competition from multi-billion dollar international corporations," said Tom Mino, President and Chief Executive Officer."
" Dr. Raluca Dinu, Director of Electro-Optics Business Division, added: "The effort required to meet the goals of the DARPA award directly parallel the roadmap for our commercial products. We anticipate that this could generate significant revenues in materials, modulator devices and systems. Applications for these products are optical components and communication systems, sensing and imaging, and interconnect markets. Recent forecasts predict $400 million in modulator sales by 2010."

"We also received additional contract revenue in our electro-optics business which is a big step toward making this business self sustaining."

--------

It appears LMRA is growing revenue nearly 100% over the year before. Even though revenues is still small, it definately nice to see this kind of growth.

LMRA: The right time to buy is now! Note that LMRA went ipo about 2 years ago at about $7, and it was a developmental stage company. Now the company is literally in the commercialization stage, and the stock is now at slightly less than $7.

The time is ripe. It's show time!

imo, any price under $7 is a great buy.

I normally buy long term. But lately I am getting used to trading -shorter term-a few days up to a few months.Right now I pared my holdings to just 3- gigm, divx, rvbd. I gave up the oil and gas-vlo,apa,gdp cash out made some but lost on vlo. Lost on GG and hans but did find my way back to tech just in time- I am up 23% since Sept. I can only do daytrading when I take a day-off or on vacation which limits my ability to trade wisely. I only make the orders the night before so it's pretty much a guess work how the market will do the next day- so far I am doing ok. What I wanted to know is if it's really worth the risk doing daytrading in your own experience? Information on stocks are pretty much open to everybody so
how the stocks performs is pretty much more based on "irrational exuberance" or perceptions of buyers rather than what the stock is really worth on paper (fundamentals)? In short anybody who can pick a good stock to buy is pretty much more on luck? Take RVBD, analyst in the beginning said it's a good bet but PE is at "nosebleed" heights. I took a gamble on this stock, because sometimes you have to get it first before anyone realized it's really a good pick. The risk-reward is tilted, IMO to more upside. So keep on doing what you're doing and keep on sharing your thoughts and ideas. I might not be interested in all your ideas but I do read it. More power to you.

In my opinion, LMRA, if the tests are successful, can render all other networks obsolete. In the next few years, our country will be moving into a 3G network. Just how fast is 3G? It ranges from download speeds of 1-4 Mbps, which can be improved upon further.

I want you to read this article:
http://www.theunwired.net/?itemid=3397

Specifically, "According to Telstra, it will increase max speed to 14.4Mbps next year and up to 40Mbps by 2009."

Holy cow! That sounds like sissyboy speeds even in 2009, when LMRA offers 10Gbps right now! (That's with a G and not an M!)

LMRA is a nice speculative buy. Stay tuned for mid-November. This should be a very wild ride.

If i remember correctly from reading their 2005 Annual Report, LMRA's polymer optical modulators currently HAVE NO COMPETITION. Because their polymers are proprietary. There are lots of metal modulators out there, but only LMRA makes the polymer modulators.
