The last few years have been great to me, as i was able to clobber the S&P500 many times in returns. But of course, you can't make a living trading the markets if you don't make great great returns. I'll try to give my readers trades that i think will make them money. However, you need to have money management skills, in order not to lose everything on a greedy or stupid trade. I may or may not already be in the trades i recommend. I may or may not trade the stocks i recommend. Due diligence is required on your part and the usual disclaimer that i am not responsible for your losses always apply. I have no affiliations with any broker/dealer and all posts are for educational purposes only. EXEL: The next Genentech?

Who knows but i've been getting spam mail from the Motley Fools, claiming that EXEL has all the makings of the original Genentech (DNA). It does have many trials all taking place at the same time. So the possibility of at least one striking a chord with the FDA is high.

I tend to agree with their take of EXEL, because in the biotech world where clinical trials can take forever to complete, having alot of them going on at one time is much better than having just one or two or even three. EXEL has about 8-10 clinical trials going on at the same time.

Longer term play. The Motleys think that EXEL can double in one year.

EXEL closed at $10.38

ok folks, today i spoke to investor relations of LMRA. They say that they're the only company that has 10Gbps. These milliwave systems are for last mile applications (about 2-3 miles). I don't really know what the potential holds for this kind of application. Looks like it may not be replacing our national wireless networks anytime soon. I'm not sure.

Please don't own too many shares for the time being. Let's wait till mid-november to see who their customers are.

Looks like markets starting to selloff. I would imagine a down day tomorrow and early part of wednesday. I don't think anyone would want to be too long going into the Ben Benanke speech.

GOOG: Don't listen to the talking heads on tv. Those guys have been saying GOOG was expensive since $100, yet they probably secretly buying GOOG like crazy.

anonymous,

I'm not really sure why you're so hung up on VLO. lol

Oils are getting killed. (Many people believe that oil prices are being manipulated downward by the administration for the upcoming election. If that can be done, which i believe is possible, then the next two years you can expect the oil prices to go down or sideways for the next presidential election. )

Tech and Retails are leading the market.

However, if i were to own any oil stocks, i would own VLO. Support at 50 still holding.
