The last few years have been great to me, as i was able to clobber the S&P500 many times in returns. But of course, you can't make a living trading the markets if you don't make great great returns. I'll try to give my readers trades that i think will make them money. However, you need to have money management skills, in order not to lose everything on a greedy or stupid trade. I may or may not already be in the trades i recommend. I may or may not trade the stocks i recommend. Due diligence is required on your part and the usual disclaimer that i am not responsible for your losses always apply. I have no affiliations with any broker/dealer and all posts are for educational purposes only. AKAM: A great buy on any dips, for the longer term hold.

This is a great stock to own if you want some participation in web stocks. How could anyone not own some GOOG or AKAM when we're in the middle of a digital revolution?

Read this:

You cannot afford not to own some tech.

Start here:
Beanie's 4 Horsemen -

GOOG - king of the web
AAPL - king of cool consumer devices
AKAM - king of speeding up the web
CRM - the next Oracle. It doesn't look like a sexy company. But years from now it will be.

-----

I also like GRMN alot.

RVBD: added 300 clients last quarter, which is 30% increased in their clientele! That is amazing growth. You don't believe it's the next NTAP?

RVBD: That 300 client increase is humongous. Since it represents a 30% increase, their clientele should obviously more than double by next year this time. RVBD is definately the fastest growing tech right now.

I took your advice and unload half of my RVBD holdings at 25.42. Thanks a lot!!! You kept me holding long enough to make a good return. I will buy again if it ever pull back a bit. I shall buy more DIVX to shore up my holdings.

MAN OH MAN....I Missed your XMSR call last night! I checked Open Interest on options to see where support is, and if you look at nov 10 puts, there are twice as many puts as there are calls. Along with
the dbl bottom in the daily, it was a no brainer. 10 calls were $1 today yesterday at the close, today they were near $2. 100% return!!! Nice call!

BTW, you may call me crazy, but I AM SHORT AKAM. Too many nov 50 calls. will cover next week.

anonymous,

I don't think you're crazy about shorting AKAM. Short term, if the market corrects, the stock should be headed to $42, once $45 breaks. With today's selloff, there should be a bounce on Monday, and then the shorts will start pressing again.

can somebody shed light on how and what to infer from put/call ratio? isn't heavy open put interest an obvious bearish sign or vice-versa?

Yes, we need ideas not name-calling on this blog. If you have some contrary opionion, say it and state your case, otherwise disparaging remarks and abusive words do not belong to this blog. Go vent your frustration to another site. If you lost a lot of money, it's your own sole responsibility. After all stock investing is not easy. Maybe you can have better luck playing the lotto!
