CMGI closed @ 2.39
CMGI went ipo in the late 90's as internet incubator. The stock went to stratospheric levels of above $300 before it came tumbling down into the black hole.
It has since diversified its business into other areas (and is now profitable with revenues of $1 billion and earnings of 75 million), although incubation is still one of its specialties. I believe that the alternative energy sector will lead the next big bull market, and would not be surprised that CMGI will eventually begin incubating solar startups.
At $2 a share, i think it's cheap. I see $10 coming, even without them investing in solar companies.

Anyone think that DNDN will gain 1-2 points over the first hour of trading due to short covering? I think the stock will settle around 4 bucks but the short covering could make for an interesting buy this am and sell a few hours later.

Beanie, no offense to you personaly, but these guys that give others tips on what to buy and short and have absolutely no idea what they are talking about or why they think the stock is gonna move, really pis me off. Now granted the ones who listen are just as liable, but it's the liars and the fakes I'm here to rout. I tell my thoughts on where its goin and when, so I'm not just bashing to bash, but showing my cards too! I got no problems with the people who make recommendations with research to back it up, right or wrong at least they brought something to the table, other than a fake knowledge about the markets.
I am staying away from DNDN right now. Why buy a stock, which you yourself are agreeing ma fall 50% from here. Like catching a falling knife.

HOKU has completed a multiple fib line retrace... (both from the 1/19 hi to lo on 3/13, and the subsequent hi on 4/10) to 4.50.
This should be some pretty strong support here, and if it holds, a nice entry. Watch the volume here, and just forget you read this if it breaches 4.45 or worse...

MACD, Momentum and DMI are at high levels, just like the ones 6 months ago, where AAPL dropped from $93 to $78 in one month. RSI, Stochastics, and the Money flow index show the stock is way overbought. I know AAPL had good earnings report and it went up from $90 to $106 in just 20 days. Isn't that too far to fast for such a big company? Am I missing something or is AAPL really due for a drawback? Why can't this bastard just go down?

somebody asked me why i bought insurance (puts) along with my long position. The only reason is because i have a high percentage of my portfolio in the stock. While i believe the stock will rally after earnings, the large short interest even at these levels worry me a bit. If management impresses, then we get a huge rally on our hands and i lose money on the insurance, which is ok. If investors don't like what they have to say, i lose some money (not as much as i would lose if i don't own insurance).
If you're not putting a big portion of your money into the stock, buying puts may not be necessary.

i went into Target yesterday and looked at all the hdtvs they have. Of all the hdtvs there, Olevia has the best resolution at the cheapest price. The employee that works the electronics section told me that Olevia outsold the rest on price point for the same and even better quality than the rest. He also said there were few Olevia returns.
Olevia first got into Target about 9 months ago. People are startin to know the brand.
Most people would choose a hdtv based on price rather than on brand, as long as the quality is similar.
Beanie: Re MA, Trading Goddess has been high on this stock. I think she mentioned it last night or today with someone's price target of $160.

As recently reported, “one” of Syntax Brilliance plants in Ontario, California is gearing up to double production, as this plant has in the past been limited to 200,000 units per year and will increase up to 500,000:

CompUSA has already increased their top seller Olevia’s from five to nine SKU’s. Latest retailers to be ramped up with Olevia SKU’s are Sears in stores and Dell on line. New credit allows future exponential growth without the “prior” threat of significant dilution. The Ontario plant is gearing up to double their production of Olevia from 200,000 units to as high as 500,000 units. Olevia recently opened a new market in Japan with NTT for an initial order of up to 20,000 units. Global demand for LCD will grow as high as 56% this year alone.
Seasonally, LCD demand has grown this quarter over last quarter. LCD panel prices have been stabilizing. Syntax Brillian is currently opening new LCD channels in Europe through the existing Vivitar distribution networks. Olevia latest and very impressive SKU’s are generating higher ASP/Margins; the 42” 742i, 47” 747i and the 65” LCOS have already started selling on line at select sites to include best buy business on line with the 42” 742i for $2,391.16 higher priced then some sites, but given the speed they sell out, and some sites asking over $3,000.00, I don’t blame them. And finally, the country's top rated analyst predicts a short squeeze, and the Bears failure to heed CIBC Daniel’s Gelbtuch’s “Buy” and “Strong Buy” warning’s in the past have certainly paid dearly as Daniel climbed to the impressive top 9 out of 3,400 position of Analysts and proved without a doubt that he is not only very accurate in his calls, but exceptionally accurate.

Beanie: Yes, that is correct re. seekingalpha. I cannot predict, never do, just try to scalp here and there. As for what will happen with BRLC, one never knows; but having corroborated some of the same numbers from other sources, at least some of their analysis has some basis. And this is a different situation from DNDN. On the subject of DNDN, I personally think, whether it is in the very short run or within the year, that the drug will be approved. Whether politics played a role and/or FDA "conservatism" precluded stepping outside their "normal" approval procedure, one cannot truly know; however, letting the stock settle and base, and putting a few shares away just in case...might not be a bad strategy (use only what one can afford to lose - very speculative and dangerous).

Chienese Stocks above 4000. 200% increase in 2 years. Is China the Japan of the 80s - 10000 to 40000 in 5 years, before crashing down 60%.
Could be better, and worse, with China.
