The last few years have been great to me, as i was able to clobber the S&P500 many times in returns. But of course, you can't make a living trading the markets if you don't make great great returns. I'll try to give my readers trades that i think will make them money. However, you need to have money management skills, in order not to lose everything on a greedy or stupid trade. I may or may not already be in the trades i recommend. I may or may not trade the stocks i recommend. OK , so the GM unions aren’t going on strike, probably, but they are getting a healthcare trust fund...
I’m no expert, but trust fund sounds really good. It forces GM employees and hospitals, to discuss the costs, ahead of any procedure. If the cost is too high, the GM employee will just go somewhere else.....to do business...so I conclude hospitals will not be charging $12 for a Tylenol, anymore...
Zee, virtualization means using several computers' processing power to do one thing, or also in reverse, you can use one computer to be several different servers. VMW is the only company that does this and microsoft wont catch up in another year or so.

ICE got upgraded by S&P on Friday and the stock didn't go up. Do you why? The lowest estimate is 130 and the highest is 205 by Prudential Equity Group according to Market Watch. The upgrade by S&P is posting on broker accounts, but not on public news. Have no idea why. BTW, S&P lifted its target price from 146 to 150.
Quick question: if the fed lowers interest rates, what are the stocks that will see the biggest runnups? tech?
BSC and GS report on Thurs, Sept 20...i bet BSC beats but falls, and GS misses and falls..it’s a 50/50 scenario...with huge downside potential for the general market...
ADM at / when 32.0.= .buy 200 day = 34...ADM always gets back to its 200 day...so it’s a buy and hold situation...
ADI looks like a buy....now.. situation..
i think rate cut helps tech stocks, bank stocks, housing stocks, XLB, and commodities...
tech stocks are constantly upgrading infrastructure ( or they get left behind) so they have to borrow money, to do that...so, i think rate cut helps...

ICE will have further to go down before it goes up. It just broke down 200 line. Be patient. If it does not bounce after rate cut, you should get out and wait to enter below $100. Or sell in the bounce and wait for lower entry.

OMAHA, Neb. - Online brokerage TD Ameritrade Holding Corp. said Friday one of its databases was hacked and contact information for its more than 6.3 million customers was stolen.
A spokeswoman for the Omaha-based company said more sensitive information in the same database, including Social Security numbers and account numbers, does not appear to have been taken.

LEH Oct calls and puts are priced for a 7% move in either direction ahead of it's earnings...TUES, 12:00 ET, well, that's what i read somewhere, so i'm trying to make sense of it, and the options are high priced...which means LEH has to move big, to get the delta moving...and DIA OCT. options, the delta's won't move above 10% unless you buy a $700 option and FXI to get a delta, you have to buy an $1100 option..

VMW, the OCT 80 call went from 1.30 up to 10.00...when VMW went from 65 up to 80ish, so i see VMW OCT 80 call, under $2.00 or even 1.30 again...it’s time to buy the VMW OCT 65 or 70 call...

Thanks for all the good info Alok, Lane, and Z. For my part, I'm high on ATHN but want to get a better feel for its direct competitors. Its incredible the hoops most physicians have to jump thru to get their claims paid. Hopefully this software will help streamline the process and therefore make it easier on the patient.
But in listening to the Roadshow I found the CEO somewhat annoying. I checked out his name and found out he's a cousin to George W. LOL!
