It seems to me like good news was reported on VMW. Anyone know why it is going down? I'm glad as I sold out of my shares and want to get back in lower, but didn't think today's report would do that.

It's ok to enter BIDU after the first 30 minutes opening when a new high is made.
This stock could end up +20 points today.

VMW missed earnings. Normally will not bode well for the stock short term. Lots of good news is built in. Do not buy more for now. If it gets to the 60's , buy more.
YGE is already twice the cap of JASO. I dont have an opinion right now about YGE tho I love Solar in general but YGE isnt another JASO, different scale.
What do you think about CSUN? They dropped bc of scarcity of wafers but they signed a contract today for them. is it a buy now?

VMWare is no great shakes. It costs lesser to buy new hardware than run VMWare on single hardware. This is just for multiple OSs on a machine. I have used it and it slows down the damn system nothing else.

I'm very bad at technical, chart reading, market direction, etc... It's all by instinct. I set the number that I feel I can manage the risk without loosing sleep. Also, I'm a daytrader, it's easy for me to be in & out of stock quick.
For VMW, I got a good size of gain, so 10 pts off from the hi is OK with me to add.

VMW is not worth it, but it is very good for test systems. It slows things like hell. Among 100 servers, I have only two servers running it: do the maths
What price are you guys looking to get into VMW again? I was thinking maybe 71? Just don't know how low it will go with high demand and being a tech play. I hate buying high, but I can't tell you how many have soared without me being in them the past couple years. I was in BIDU at $80.00 at one point, ICE at $42, BOT at $82.00, the list goes on. I think this one could still be a great one. Are you guys going to wait to hear 3rd quarter results first?

I'm still going with 50bps fed cut....although wouldn't be shocked if I was wrong and it was 25bps. Have no clue what market reaction will be. I do know that high yielding energy stocks with oil at $80 and a fed that is in cut mode are not a bad spot mid-term+...not at all, which is a big reason why I won't be sweating the fed announcement too much short term.
Plus I don't care to daytrade really and I like where I'm positioned here: lot of cash, mostly high yield stuff with some exposure to risk with a few small caps I like.

couldn't resist, had to be online for the release. 50bps! I've still not gotten one wrong this decade...if there was one I'd have gotten wrong, thought it might be this one.
I like the cut, think it was needed and the market would have been disappointed with anything else...what it means though is the US economy seems to be slowing and the credit issues may tilt towards recession...it'll be a fascinating rest of 2007 in the market that is for sure.
I think this is going to be a real tricky market to trade here for next 3-4 months.
