The last few years have been great to me, as i was able to clobber the S&P500 many times in returns. But of course, you can't make a living trading the markets if you don't make great great returns. (1) what they are saying are true regarding the contracts and that they finish building their factory and actually produce the products
(2) the solar stock mega rally starts as i expect it will.

i like YGE more because it is just above 1 billion market cap while LDK is almost 5 billion in market cap. I don't want to own a company that is almost as big as STP and not as better.
I am really impressed how far WWAT (the only penny stock i like) has gone since i recommended at about .50 . Congrats if you held and believed in solar. (I wouldn't buy it here though)

WWAT. Thanks for clarifying that you WOULD NOT buy it here. Believe it or not, there are a lot of lurkers on this board that follow all your writing and a mere mention of WWAT might be construed as you are recommending it as a buy here.

our old friend, just amazing. In 1999, this stock hit a high of 100. I think there could be a repeat once the alternative energy sector really takes off.
Look, today the market is suppose to bounce. If it goes negative you need to not buy stocks and stay on the sidelines. It could mean an intermediate trend change is happening (AKA correction!)
BIDU:
i am playin the strangle on this one - bought the 155 aug puts and now waiting for the stock to go lower before buying the 195 calls.
If you can only (or want to only) pick one direction on playing earnings for BIDU and AAPL, then buy the calls (go long).

Beanie's Ridiculous Trend Theory gets into uncharted
territory!
This has never been before but we may have to use a
variant of the theory as a special case applicable to
earnings. Since earnings season is such an IMPORTANT
time and both BIDU and AAPL are wildly popular stocks,
you would expect both groups of gurus to chime in. "No
mention" could have a meaning.
AAPL:
FastMoney = no comment = most likely means they are
Indecisive
MadMoney = "take a little off the table" = mildly
positive? mildly negative? or Indecisive? If you have
any money on the table, it probably means Indecisive.
BIDU:
FastMoney = cautious (mildly negative? or Indecisive?)
but thinks it'll have a 30 point move either way =
Indecisive
MadMoney = no comment = Indecisive?
Now, if you ever read candlestick charts you'd know
that when a stock goes one way and then reaches an
"indecision" point (The "Cross") it means a possible
trend change. Since both stocks have been going down
the last few days (and have stopped going down), we
could see an immediate upside move on both stocks after
the announcements.
Good luck and play small. If we wrong, we move on.

Very nervous about AAPL. I want to hold my long position since I've had since Feb. but this is nerve wracking.. IT's going to tank or skyrocket, nothing in between.

TSL closed at $60 the next day and now at $57.
FSLR - saw $105.60 today and still seems like it wants to go to $100
my CSUN puts up over 400% already but near bottom now. probably close out tommorrow.
My TSL Sept. 60 puts up 65% today. Closed the gap but could see $55 if not ,close out puts tommorrow to secure profit.
GLBC closed at $21 three days later and headed back down since. hope you got out with a profit PAMFLA for your beamer.
Closed HYGS out with a 26 % gain.
Stopped out of HAUP with a 8% gain.
Lotsa money out there trading hands, just dont' listen to people telling you to "buy when the markets down 60 to 80 points tommorrow." Just follow the the tape and the charts for short term trades.

I am 35 just sold a home and will have 100,000 to invest. I also have 6 rental properties so im not all in one sector. I was thinking of putting going 50/50 in GEX & IBB for an aggressive approach. Thoughts,Thank u

HOKU was overbought and then the earnings killed it. You folks had to have known that they were gonna disapoint on earnings because of the transition fuel cells to solar wafers. They are still building the factory in Idaho.
Let it go down and consolidate. Ask me occasionally again so i don't forget to look at it for entry point.
You guys have to pay attention to the rest of the solar stocks, particularly the leaders. If the leaders don't fly, it is hard for a very speculative play such as HOKU to continue marching on.
HOKU can eventually see $5-6
