The last few years have been great to me, as i was able to clobber the S&P500 many times in returns. But of course, you can't make a living trading the markets if you don't make great great returns. I'll try to give my readers trades that i think will make them money. However, you need to have money management skills, in order not to lose everything on a greedy or stupid trade. I may or may not already be in the trades i recommend. I may or may not trade the stocks i recommend. Due diligence is required on your part and the usual disclaimer that i am not responsible for your losses always apply. DNDN testing it's morning pop here... I think it's got legs off this gap fill... get it under 6 fitty, IMHO.
ENG off the hook, just briefly touchng annual high territory here at nine fitty.
Market comment:
Y'all know I lean bearish anyway, so take this with a grain...
but... When the hedgies get hubristic enough to think they can turn around legacy plagued second tier auto companies -- American ones at that! -- then it's "look out below!" time...
JMHO
CPI coming in hot or tame tomorrow?....
is it time for AAPL to start its decline back to 100?
Alok,
I would love to see that. Want to buy some.
Sold my AAPL shares at 95 thinking it will pull back lower, and now it is well above 100. Often selling my winners too early.
Dimitry.
Dimitry i hope so too, i'm looking for an entry point just like you :)
the mkt is turning on a dime. I've wanted to short FWLT but just as i was trying to get my order fill it fell another 50-60 cents in seconds. now i dont know if i want to get in any more.
TIE, flirting with last Thursday's high here at $38.42. Watch for a new nibble.
NTRZ:
Someone just asked me about why i think it's worth $25 at least. NTRZ was an official recommendation from 2-3 weeks ago. Go back and find the post.
Every solar stocks dip is your opportunity to make even more money.
All big dips ought to be bought.
Beanie what price would u recommend buying FSLR at this point? more room to fall?
Whenever markets get slammed hard, where do you scoop for bargains? SOLAR STOCKS!
So make sure you got some cash on the side.
jet,
FSLR could get to the low 60
More speculative solars: CSIQ, ESLR, etc.
No doubt they will also go higher as the sector takes off.
But i choose to be in more profitable stories like STP, SPWR, FSLR, TSL, JASO?.
I am happy that I fixed my losses with KOMG some time ago, this funny company with a trailing p/e of 5.81 is still in free fall..
The first books about investing that I read (Ben Graham, "The Intelligent Investor"), was teaching me that it is very smart to buy stocks that trade not too far from a book value. This is the case with KOMG - book value 18$ whale the share price is 26$. I am not sure if any utility company suggested in the above book could show such numbers. But this does not help KOMG to stop falling. LOL.
One should not read Ben Graham's books nowdays, one should read "Investing for dummies" ;) And AMZNngly this works better :) LOL
Dimitry
Dimitry I couldn't agree with you any lesser. KOMG is a total mistry to me, which is why i would rather wait for it to reach 28 than try to catch a bottom on it. lol.
Again, the fibs astound me... BRLC plummeting this morning, bounces exactly off - guess where?
That's right, it's 161.8% fib extension (of the 5/1 to 5/3 original move).
Now let's see if it's any more than a Bill the Cat bounce here at 6.41.
Sorry, that fib extension number was 6.26.
Do you ever have that feeling that something is sneaking up on you?
Hint: it's made of titanium.
Heres a JakeKunt Type of post
"Saturn will be in hard angle to this new moon, and Neptune will, too. Neptune's presence suggests that you will want certain information about your proposed company's background and that will take time to get. Saturn's position suggests that someone in authority may doubt the practicality or value of your proposed purchase, or of your capabilities.
Despite these aspects, Uranus, the planet of unexpected developments, will beam all sorts of excellent vibes to this new moon. So while there will be an obstacle, I feel a lucky opportunity will show up when you least expect it and need it most!"
Beanie, thanks for the response... I was wondering if you knew any ETF's that invested solely in solar stocks... the one I mentioned had wind power and hydropower as well.
Beanie,
Thanks for the quick response on my last posting... On that note, do you know any ETF's that you would recommend that are solely invested in solar energy? The one I mentioned was all alternative energy i.e. wind, hydro, etc. Thanks.
Anyone who's been looking to do my ONT might want to look at'er now.
TSL:
going much higher. Low floater high growth solar.
Wow, the Plunger/Catcher is full of sunshine today, isn't he?
Whatsamatter coward? Got tired of being abused under your most recent moniker?
______________
Did I not tell you guys that this clown would either clean up his act or get a new name (or go anonymous again) within a couple of days?
How long did he last, the poor psychopath? Two... three days?
LOFL!
TSL:
get on board!!! Trading above 60 will take it to 70 soon.
You like TSL or STP better, Beanz?
TSL:
so obvious it's going to par
TSL TSL TSL get on board!!! The pre earnings run has begun!!!
This is a classic example of how i miss a run. wanted to short FWLT at 95.5, it ran down to 94.5 in seconds and then i chickened out. now its at 92.6 damn, damn, damn.
jakegint,
i like most of my money in STP, and some money in TSL.
TSL because it's such a low floater is very volatile.
TSL:
Look at the chart. A thing of beauty. $70 is already a foregone conclusion.
EBAY:
gonna have a spectacular move this year.
SNDK:
this thing is going higher
Catcher/Pitcher -- as I said to you on the other board, you are a psychopath, so far be it for me to ascertain what the hell goes through your demented skull.
But rest assured, I'm not the only one who notices that your semi-literate syntaxless gabbering bears a distinct resemblence to every "anon" jerky that pollutes this board.
I will waste no further time with you and your cowardly doppelgangers.
Beanz:
Since you were jumping up and down I decided to take a long term look at both TSL and STP.
Conclusion: you're on to something (g).
First, TSL -- if you do the long term fibs (two year trough to peak), you can see that it was hanging out at the 23.6% long term retrace for a couple of days when "BOOM!" today it launched from there.
Now, I would not be shocked to see it continue from here, but what is also a possibility is that it returns one more time to that first fib (at 56.85 or so) for a final "kiss" before heading to the long term high reached on Tax Day (4/16) of 69.27. Then it's blue sky from there...
What's more interesting is STP... next...
To get STP's ultimate fib reading you have to go back to it's inception in '05, and take the low of 18.94 notched on December 21st of that year and the very quick high (whatta move!) of 44.42 notched only about a month later on 1/30/06.
Now if we jump to the present using that fib scale, we can see that STP is now RIGHT ON it's 23.6% first fib of $38.42 or so, just like TSL was yesterday!.
Now, I would wait for the punch through, but if we get it, on volume, that sucker's going to 40 and then 44+ in a hurry.
If STP fails here, it could dip one more time to it's 38.2% second fib line at about 34.65, where there is a ton of support already.
Another great place to buy, as long as we are not in a Naz meltdown.
HEHEHEHEHE!!
Surprise Surprise!!
Markets falling down!!
Selling in May, and
Going away?
Gosu, so do you think this is the big sell off that you were expecting to go to 12,900?
NOPE. I don't think we are going to 12900. No way. No way at this time. Not before we touch 13600.
Where is JakeGint and z-stock, when you need them?
What does your fib analysis says on Nasdaq?
CATCHERNTHERYE, behave yourself buddy.
You don't want your ass handed to yourself twice, do you?
Gosu I'm glad you're here to keep catcher in line with your razor sharp wit.
tomorrows CPI report has me extremely worried thats why i am all cash...If dia breaks the 13100 mark it on to test 12900
zee
Man look at TSL bounce off $57. huge volume spike.
here are some up and coming stumbling blocks on the way down to 12900....and on wed...housing report....looks bad...and on fri...consumer confidence report...looks bad...and for thurs....the market will have to make something up...
zee..
on my MEE put...trading has been halted...i however got out first thing this morning with 80% profits...looks like i missed the other 300% and more profit...

another great call by jakey!!
how about another fib analysis?
Picked some EBAY today...
SNDK is way too much expensive to buy now. I want it @42.
JASO:
earnings is tomorrow morning
Today turned out to be a pretty big down day.
Goobled some STP.
There's FSLR available to buy right now.
Do you dare to enter JASO right before earnings? I would only do so if i plan to keep the stock for the longer term.
NTRZ:
When the world goes to hell as a result of global warming, this stock should get a boost.
It's the only game in town in what it does. Monopoly. They turn trash (the outside of rice that typically gets thrown away) into cash (very healthy animal and human grain feed).
On huge down days like this, I want you to buy more of STP.
JASO:
triple top formed. Either gonna breakout huge tomorrow or break down. I am guessing 70% breakout and 30% breakdown. Worth a shot if you like this stock for the longer term (which i do).
energy stocks giving support to market
dia might finish up..
i.m still shorting XLE, going into tuesday...5 day pattern...60/40...
I played STP several times from 36 to 37, but does it make sense to buy it now when it is trading at 38, it's 12 month S&P target - I am not sure.
xle june 66 at 1.90/1.95..i'm only 60/40 on this one..but usually xle falls on tues ahead of wed oil report
zee
Solar stocks:
there is a need of a general correction in these stocks (some stocks look kinda overextended) before it really takes off in a very big way later this year. We'll see.
STP is a little less volatile (because it's the biggest pure play solar company out there) than the rest.
JASO:
just to let you know that it could see 23 (and on its way to 20) if it misses the numbers. Have a longer term horizon or don't play this one into earnings.
gosuadik,
I don't even have to respond, every time you post a response its just a completly humiliating insult to yourself.
Do actually have to think to come up with these?
These are the best insults/retorts your pea brain can muster, and we're supposed to believe you're intelligent enough to make any money in the market, much less $88,000.
The more you post, the more you show just how much of a bullshitter you are.
why don't you get off jakey's lap and let him type again? maybe between the two of you you can come up with something worthwhile.
With respect to solar stocks there's alot of confusion out there as to which ones to buy. There's CSIQ, ESLR, JASO, FSLR, SPWR, TSL, STP, 2 new ones that's about to go ipo, and many other small ones. In my opinion, it's best to buy the one(s) with the higher market cap. If they're up there it usually means they are stronger companies. STP is the biggest, then come FSLR and SPWR and then TSL. I would focus on the top 3 as investments and not worry too much about the smaller firms. As time goes by, the top 3 today may not be the top 3 tomorrow but your focus should always be the top 3. Why? Because you want to find the next solar Intel, which i believe is there and will eventually make its way to the top of the heap.
My old ONT gettin' some major action here late this afternoon...
Ride Sally Ride.
Stop it you guys, this is not your blog ( Gosu or Catch). if you want to slug it out go to your own blog. why are you ruining beanie's blog. i dont understand how you both can blame each other for being immature when both of you are acting like kids. none of your insults make sense and is just very painful to read. I am requesting on behalf of most of the poeple on this board, please stop this stupid CRAP.
jakegint,
ONT is pretty amazing, although i don't understand how ONT can compete with their bigger peers. I think it'll see $5.
So, whats up with IBN and REDF?
IBN up 4%,
REDF up 10% on very very high volume.
Whats up with REDF? Up 10% on high volume?
juan,
you won't find an etf that strictly invests in solar. Too risky for the masses.
http://finance.yahoo.com/q/hl?s=PBW
If you want an etf that strictly invests in solar stocks, then i suggest you simply buy the top 3 solar stocks (STP, FSLR, SPWR).
NTRZ:
simply amazing!!!
NTRZ is headed to $25 at least.

Hmm...
Both Russell and Nasdaq down close to 1%.
The big caps stay positive.
Looks like complete rotation out of small caps into big caps. That can't continue for long.
If we are going to have a rally, the small caps must catch fire at some time.
beanie i bot stp and ntrz today!!
thanks for the advice
hey jake
i got a new signal for you to ponder upon. I call it the lightning bolt. You might have the correct name for it, which would be great. I've blogged it today, using VMC as my candidate. happy trails
zeester....
HNSN looks good here, anyone else do the technicals on it?
~V
Lane,
HNSN seems to be sitting on decent support here at 20.30, but I'd keep an eye on that level before buying.
Beanz,
RE: ONT... purely a technical play for me... no way a long termer... just following where it'll take me.
Note the anonymous dickhead who was screeching at me after I stated that Hong Kong (up 500+ last night) didn't spark our markets but vice versa....
Well, we'll see tonight if Hong Kong is down in sympathy with us, tonight.
But we know for sure that we were NOT up in sympathy with Hong Kong today.
(Imagine that).
This is why dickheads stay anonymous.
"dickhead"
Notice how they all tend to come out of the woodwork at the exact same time? There is only one dickhead and that's the catcher guy.
Oh and thanks for the HNSN technicals. I usually do what my shiny expensive software tells me to do, I have no idea how a lot of those things work lol
~V
TWO 100 TO 1 ODDS IN MY FAVOR BUYS.....
TTEC $33 = 100 TO 1....IF TTEK even gets that low...JUNE 30 call is 4.50 try to get it for $4.00 or in that range..
Tap is at the 30/50 day buy signal....88 or 89 is a good entry price, if it isn’t already gapped up by the morning.... TRY TO GET THE june 85 CALL for less than 5.50 and sell for at least a $1000, if you can hold on that long...or go for quick 55%...= about $200....

You don't have to tell us lame, its apparent you don't have any idea what you're doing.
What happened? Did it take you all day to build up the courage to say something? You're a retard loser lame, stick with playing with your "shiny, expensive thingy", and leave the "analysis" to fib-fakey jakey, who, by the way, would'nt know the first thing about fib retracements and corrective waves if gosu showed him on his bullshit excel sheets.
COCKROACHNTHERYE MOTHER IS ONCE AGAIN F***ING OSSMA BINN LADEN
Yeah, the CPI numbers were milder than expected... those pit traders can wiggle their fingers fast ...
And they have produced COCKROACHNTHERYE brother, Ossama binn Landen COCKROACHNTHERYE.
Gose, don't even bother with that sad sack.
He's a poor excuse for a human being, and obviously extremely troubled.
All you're doing is feeding his sociopathic jones by reacting in any way to him.
Morons fade when they find no one has the time to play with them.
Zee-- don't get too greedy on that TTEC... first fib at 33.45 or so, but with that stick yesterday, I guess I'm not as confident (99 to 1??) as you are that it's done diving here.
Gose... where do you get your Dow futures?
I'm looking at a number that has to be wrong on my OpXpress page here...
GROW has taken some recent hits... and look at FFHL... which I sold not a month ago at 12 plus... WTF??

AWWW, Im crushed , a bigwig blogger has defined my existence. Now that jakey has decided whats poor and whats good excuses, i guess i can go away..
yeah right, fuk off jakey, your almost as pathetic as your friend gosukadik's insults. Your a sad excuse for a trader. all your fib analysis sucks, do'nt you think if was as simple as you think, everyone would be using it and making money on it? You aint been right once. as your dumbass said prior, you can move it to different timeframes, well, you can also move it to suit your view, if you dont' actually know the rules for retracements.
Your a joke jakey, so is your analysis. how about RBY hadn't heard shit from you about that? hour about BRLC, wrong again, STP has nothing to do with fibs right now, quit scewing these people jake and filling them up with your bullshit uneducated analysis, all you do is spout off after the fact, like you knew all along,
JakeGint, open an account with Interactive Brokers. I am sure you won't regret it.
Just the quotes for futures, options and stocks are going to cost you more. The maximum amount of money you spend on IBKR is only $10 /month.
Gold just did a $2 hop in a second...
Guess the gold traders don't believe there's no inflation....
Gose-- when I get serious like you, I'll get an IB account... I'm too lazy to switch right now.
Account stickiness... they all rely on it...
JASO beats and reaffirms... and is down by $2 plus off the bat....
Anyone following this one?
JASO jumped from 18 to 28 in no time. Speculators giving up on them now.
Another Chinese (well, Macau, anyway) stock I've been watching is MPEL... looking to complete retrace back to $14.15 lifetime low (lifetime's about six months however), here.
No offense to our Asian friends here, but I don't see a big dropoff in gamblin' in that part of the world at any time in the near future.
Of course, I guess the Red Army could roll in ...
I think China is the new Japan of the 80s. 500% returns in 5 years, and then crashing 60%.
Gross margins are declining. Not good.
Bee--
You talking about MPEL, or JASO?
MPEL's big casino only opened 3 days ago.... I'm stalking this sucker...
Gose -- you're the gamer expert... what are your thoughts on MPEL?
I was referring to JASO. Revenue growth looks like it is slowing as well.
Opinions on OPBL? Is it really worth only .50 now?
ARUN... heavy BK risk now because of ability to finance... speculation city, if you like to live there, though.
Whats a better earnings play STP or GIGM?
elmyko1
We are going to 13600.
Wow... TSL sitting RIGHT on that first fib line...
Remember yesterday I mentioned it might come back? If it hooks here, this is the entry...
STP acting similarly, btw...
MPEL is bad news. Management did nothing to save MPEL during the CC. Management was defensive as well as elusive in their answers. Uncertainty about the cost of its next project, City of Dreams, will keep this stock in free fall.
Hopefully noone bought STP yesterday...
jakey,
hows that fib analysis working for ya on TSL, oh yeah, it's not, down again, huh? wonder how with all your fib expertise and all

The latest fib analysis tells that COCKROACHNTHERYE MOMS hell hole is 500 feet deep and 2000 feet wide. No wonder Ossama Bin Laden and his terrorist gang are hiding in it.
