The last few years have been great to me, as i was able to clobber the S&P500 many times in returns. But of course, you can't make a living trading the markets if you don't make great great returns. I'll try to give my readers trades that i think will make them money. However, you need to have money management skills, in order not to lose everything on a greedy or stupid trade. I may or may not already be in the trades i recommend. I may or may not trade the stocks i recommend. Due diligence is required on your part and the usual disclaimer that i am not responsible for your losses always apply. Major red alert!!! Markets around the world about to be slapped by an ugly stick.

I think the European stock markets are in trouble as Morgan Stanley downgraded them to a "full house sell".

China was first to have its head pounded and now you add Europe you get wham bam slam kapow #$^%& plunk!

That will certainly drag down the USA market as well.

It will be a treacherous time this month for world markets but i expect the USA to be the strongest and the quickest to rebound when all the dust settles.

Alok, the sell off yesterday was on low volume anyway.
I think Dow hits 13600 before going back to 12900.

Beanz... for the tenth or so time, follow these SIMPLE instructions.

First, copy whatever url you want to turn into a link, so that's it's on your notepad.

Now, to start your link, type a "<" symbol (again, without the quotation marks, of course).

Now type, right after the carrot thingy, "A href=" (without the quotes, again).

Next, PASTE your URL right after the "=" sign as noted above.

Then you close that part of it with a closing carrot, the one that looks like this: ">"

Still with me?

Okay, we're almost done. Next, to IDENTIFY your link, and make the language that will actually show up, just TYPE whatever you want to call the link (as in my above example when I said "Beanz' Morgan Stanley link). Type all this RIGHT AFTER the closing carrot as indicated above.

Got it?

Then, you're finishing piece is simply open a carrot again at the end of your typed language like this: "<"

Then TYPE "/a" (again, WITHOUT the quotes).

Then close it with a closing carrot: ">"

THEN YOU'RE Done! Choose "preview" below to make sure it's correct.

SILC is a great buy at these levels. NVTL holding relatively strong.

Wed Jun 06, 02:24:00 PM EDT
Blogger JakeGint said...

Beanz... what that means is that you opened a carrot thing ("<") without closing it properly.

In other words, when you open one, you have to close it with ">".

Also, you need to open and close with a letter. In this case, it was the "a" that starts out "a href."

That's why at the end you have to close with "<" and "/" and "a" and ">"

It would me much easier to show you if HTML didn't go all screwy whenever you put a combo together.

Another simple example is the BOLDING function. To get that in HTML, you simply open a carrot as described above, type the letter "b", close the carrot, and then type what you wish to be bolded just like regular typing and then close the bolding by finishing with the SAME notation you started with but this time putting a "/" slash in front of the "b" and the closed carrot mark.

Try it and you'll see it's pretty simple.

SRI,
re:smsi,
I don't know anything about the fundamentals of the company just looking at the chart.

It all depends how long your holding for, short or long term,

I think the chart looks bad, short term. Wide ranging day reversal, indicators goin neg.[money flow, macd] BUT the volume shows accumulation, seems weird but in my opinion this thing sees the lower trend line @ $14.25-$14.50 or so, barring some breaking news or earnings, then see if it'll bounce up off it again.

if it broke below that lower trendline Id be real worried then, long drop from there. @$12 -$10 range, but its just my take, check out the chart and draw your conclusions. have jakey do his fibs, either way you lay the fibs can put you @ $14.27 and $12.20, depending on what you call the top,

Beanie,
Remember I asked you about ENCY a while back then when it was around 3s? I bought it at 3.90 in January and saw it went down all the way to 2.50s, but didn't sell because I had only 5,000 shrs. I just sold 3,000 at 4.80 yesterday. I am still holding 2,000. Should I gamble and hold them pass the 15? A lot of analysts think that GILD's AMB is the best of its class, but the amount of clinical data is no where near ENCY's Thelin. This time would be ENCY's third tries for US approval and GILD's first. ENCY is approved wordwide except the US. What do you think?

Thanks.

P.S. Besides a small positing in ENCY, I am all cash now because I think the market will tank due the Fed not lowering the rates.

Lane,

Red Alert just means to be careful and not overextend yourselves with call options (which can be wiped out in an instant) or margin. At the same time, big down days are also good opportunities to nibble in stocks you like for the intermediate to longer term.

Wed Jun 06, 08:21:00 PM EDT
Blogger beanie11111 said...

I know, i know i said to nibble in some stocks today. I sounded like a woman that keeps on changing her mind. But there is a method and reason to all this madness. If you sold stocks already before the meltdown or you are in cash, i think days like these are great to start nibbling in stocks you like or buy back stocks at a cheaper price. It makes no sense to just let this meltdown come and go without doing anything, especially if you think the bull market is alive and well. Take advantage of other people's fear and misery and buy some of their stocks. When the market reverses back to the upside, they'll be buying back from you.

Hope this helps.
