The last few years have been great to me, as i was able to clobber the S&P500 many times in returns. But of course, you can't make a living trading the markets if you don't make great great returns. I'll try to give my readers trades that i think will make them money. However, you need to have money management skills, in order not to lose everything on a greedy or stupid trade. been a beanie fan for a while, but always as a reader and not a poster. so i decided to post a couple of swing-trade plays starting monday (6/4) thru friday (6/15):
1. DNDN - going to pop before dropping again. look at the call volume vs put volume last 3 days- not the open interest because open interest is always skewed to one side or the other- but when you get a sudden burst of call buying by the big boys/smart money above its current price even with only 10 trading days before expiration (the last 3 days there have been 350000 calls and 100000 puts bought), you know there's positive news coming before options expiry.
2. AAPL - getting ready to move get the june 125 and 130s will go past before they expire.
3. HDY - speculative play at $2.50 but has the potential for a mighty 15-20 bagger. need to do your DD on this one, but big day tuesday 6/5 when guinea makes a decision on HDY's contract provisions. this one could easily hit $50 next year if all goes well. i say buy some monday and sell the news tuesday for a short gain, or hold for long term if you can get free shares out of tuesday's transactions.
4. CRME - PR early monday AM from ACT 2 Phase 3 study. should see a small pop before it settles back again. for long termers, it has a FDA date in mid-october for a blockbuster drug (vernakalant) which is almost a shoo-in for approval.
5. ENCY - last but not the least. is at $4 now, with FDA approval on thelin on or before june 15. if approved on 6/15, you have an easy double. and if GILD gets an approvable on its competing drug (Ambi) on 6/18, it could be a 4-bagger. recap: if you egt into ENCY, do NOT sell on approval news on /15. hold for 6/19. alternative play: get in at $4 and sell at $5 before 6/15.
good luck, people. if all goes well, you'll make good $$$ over the next 2 weeks and thank me and ask me to post my intelligent opinions more. if it doesn't, catcher and gosu and jake are gonna chew me up and spit me out. either way, track these stocks just for the heck of it.

M's comment was about four or five posts back, which is why I made my point about trying to follow the conversation with fewer interruptions was probably easier for all.
Given the (early) success of M's calls, I figured it was worthwhile reposting them.
I've mentioned CHK in the past as one, along with MON, as one to buy and hold forever...

Yeah I prefer 1 new post a day (or half a day) as well, as people usually comment on the newest post the old ones just seem to be disregarded.
Did any of you guys buy HDY? I bought some but sold for a quick 8% gain.
Bought AEP june 45c 2.05, 80/20 try to sell $1 higher. 30/50 signal and 2 bottom test at 46.8 , bought CVX jul 80 put 1.10, , it’s possible 70/30 hedge against market move, might sell for $600

i have already taken profits at 508 from the gap down buy.
Also got a short in.

i think we had a good day with all 5 picks (DNDN, AAPL, HDY, CRME and ENCY)....i know i did.
HDY and ENCY closed ~HOD. shorts desperately trying to cover/get in the last 5 mins. again, HDY = highly speculative, and if you've held for tomorrow, you'll get some news tonight. ENCY = a safer surer bet after those big buys at the end (and ongoing AH action). stay safe and sell at $5 hopefully this week, or be brave and go for the 3-4 bagger on 6/15.
CRME = will settle down around $10.25 over the next 3 days. we're expecting another positive PR from its 4th and final phase 3 ACT4 study a week from now, so expect another small pop then. should see $11. if i were you, i'd buy now and hold thru monday of next week (or whenever that PR hits).

OK...since I'm off to a good start, I'm going to let you in on a little secret penny stock tomorrow. I just got a tip today, and I'm waiting for a friend to "research" it. If it has the potential for a good play, I'll post it. Also, I'm a little uncomfortable dabbling with penny stocks since I don't play them, but this tip comes from a reliable source and hopefully it pans out. From what I heard, this baby could be a 10-BAGGER by the end of this month, and if all goes well, a 50-BAGGER within the next 12 months. Of course, it could also lose 75% of its value if its current trial flops.

So save up some $$$ for another speculative play Wednesday.

regarding FWLT, the asbestos lawsuits almost did them in. They are fine now but still need to make some payments starting 2010.

JSDA about to turn the corner. 16-17 is lowest.
But i still think Jones Soda tastes like sh*t. I still want to try the Watermelon though. I like classic Coke more than any soda Jones can offer. No wonder Coke became a behemoth on essentially the same sugar water for almost 50 years.
GOOG got upgraded after the close. Let's see what shakes in the morning. Will GOOG make new highs? China is a bee in the arse right now, possibly hindering GOOG's run to above 550 this month.
China is done selling at least for the short term.
