The last few years have been great to me, as i was able to clobber the S&P500 many times in returns. But of course, you can't make a living trading the markets if you don't make great great returns. I'll try to give my readers trades that i think will make them money. However, you need to have money management skills, in order not to lose everything on a greedy or stupid trade. I may or may not already be in the trades i recommend. I may or may not trade the stocks i recommend. Due diligence is required on your part and the usual disclaimer that i am not responsible for your losses always apply. I have no affiliations with any broker/dealer and all posts are for educational purposes only. Remember to 'refresh' the home page and the "Comments" pages frequently in order to receive updated posts. Let's rock!

HOKU might make a good speculative play on the solar bull market.

I know it's not profitable and i know they are moving out of the fuel cell business. But at least they are moving into the solar business, which will be hot hot hot.

Intermediate to longer term play.

Beanz, there's millions of professionals, especially in the high finance side that are wed to their Crackberries. Tons o' mouthpieces that work for us are too. And you know there's no dearth of mouthpieces/ambulance chasers. Were there as many doctors, we'd have no health care crisis.

Technology tends to bleed down until it saturates, and Crackberry ain't saturated by a long shot. And I don't think this Craapl Phone is going to make a dent in it's market, either. Why?

Something as simple as male identification. No joke, I went to a meeting not too long ago where the lead lawyer already had his laptop out on the table when the CEO of this fund came in and noted that it was a Crapple Powerbook. He asked the guy if he were contemplating a change in "orientation" to resounding laughter around the room. As infantile as it sounds, the lockerroom still rules in a lot of places where important product choices are made, and it looks like Crackberry (and the PC) have won the first round in that regard.

Well, considering the Bear just bailed one of it's own hedge funds out to the tune of $3.2 billion, I would expect that even a dense hedge fund manager might expect that would hit valuation.

RIG raised to $142, so OIH going to $200?, or more...is my first thought...and all the major companies at RSI 25...too many to list....and if half make it back to rsi 70, then the DIA rally’s BIG in July...
Zee...
BAC 6/18..UBS.. Price target raised to $59 from $57
CROX 6/21.. target raised at Piper to $55
DOW..6/21 target raised at Goldman by $2 to $52

STP:

this stock is ramping up to run in the days ahead.

Get in!

Tue Jun 26, 12:51:00 PM EDT
Blogger JakeGint said...

This farking STP is the most damnable stock. Remember that downtrend line that I talked about a couple of days back? The one it had finally burst through when it first re-cracked $34 (again, a couple of days back)?

Well, when it did it's "plunge of death" yesterday, it actually smacked RIGHT OFF that downtrend line again (this time, because of it's continuing downslope it was at about 32.85 or so. And the downtrend line held support, just like all the books say it's supposed to! Even with that almost parabolic death drop!

Which tells me somebody is farking around with this stock, trying to shake people loose before the big ... something. Just look at the 15 minute chart over the last couple of days... it's a farking roller coaster!

Anyway, I continue to hang on, and it looks like if it can clear $34.60 here, we may be in for some intersting schite.

But don't be shocked if they take us down another Alpine slide again....

Tue Jun 26, 01:23:00 PM EDT
Blogger JakeGint said...

NYX has massive support (and a fib line (61.8% retracement) at $73.30, but nothing before then.

If you do, you know it's some of the most precious real estate this side of California, and these guys own shopping centers on it. And guess what? The old adage about "they're not making any more of it" goes double for UBA, since in those particular counties, you're likelier to find a black leprechaun with hens teeth holding a four leaf clover than you are to get your property zoned for commercial retail.
