We are beyond a doubt severely short term oversold, on a repeat of the subprime scare again.
When you are confused and bewildered, please look to solar stocks as the place to be. We are at the beginnings of a multiyear rally in alternative energy, especially solar. Ted Turner is a visionary and he already gave you a clue as to what is the next big big thing. Don't you forget that.
Why solar? Everything else seem so played out and so yesterday. Honestly, how many times can you buy EBAY and YHOO. They are old news, yesterday's plays. They are now merely channeling stocks. Back and forth, back and forth like a yo-yo.
Alternative energy is the only sector offering intrigue, a new beginning, and a huge potential for the future.
FSLR, SPWR, STP, TSL, WFR, JASO, HOKU, etc.
Targets of Cramer's 4 Horsemen:
GOOG can double certainly but it will take several years.
AAPL can double from here but it will take several years.
RIMM can quadruple from here if they can defeat the iphone.
AMZN can and will quadruple in a few years.

morning. just a quick note to tell you that i have had the opportunity to use an iphone overnight. my friend is a reporter. he violated the terms of his agreement and let me goof with it. as a result, i think i may short apple.
the thing is beautiful, really. the glass screen is kickin. the scroll features are novel, but not revolutionary.
here's the kicker: 1) the virtual keyboard is a dog. i'd rather IM on a phone. 2) you cant IM on this thing! unreal. 3) no voice dialing.
there are more issues, but that is what i experienced.
frankly, its a very beautiful turn. maybe 2.0 will be better.

Wowee, the yen carry did a turn around last night and this morning.
Currently looking at almost a yen knocked off the dollar price. Granted this thing has been smoking, and we were due a "rest," but this is pretty hard jerk in the opposite direction. I blame the WSJ headlines this morning about the CDO situation in real estate.
AAPL may be an intermediate term short. It probably won't matter how great the iphone is, it will likely selloff because of 'buying the rumor and sellin the news'. It did have a magnificient runup.
I looked at alot of smartphones throughout the years but they were never good enough for me to buy them. But the iphone i wanted one even before i see it. Tells ya something.

This farking STP is the most damnable stock. Remember that downtrend line that I talked about a couple of days back? The one it had finally burst through when it first re-cracked $34 (again, a couple of days back)?
Well, when it did it's "plunge of death" yesterday, it actually smacked RIGHT OFF that downtrend line again (this time, because of it's continuing downslope it was at about 32.85 or so. And the downtrend line held support, just like all the books say it's supposed to! Even with that almost parabolic death drop!
Which tells me somebody is farking around with this stock, trying to shake people loose before the big ... something. Just look at the 15 minute chart over the last couple of days... it's a farking roller coaster!
Anyway, I continue to hang on, and it looks like if it can clear $34.60 here, we may be in for some intersting schite.
But don't be shocked if they take us down another Alpine slide again....

Quick note on SMSI @ 14.92 or so...it's filled that gap from a few days back, and it looks like it has decent support here all the way to 14.70 or so, so this may not be a bad entry point if you see it start to take off again.

I would suggest that you wait till EOD June 29 to make your buys. I think that would be ideal.

I like to give those recent IPO's a little more chart time before wading in, but she looks like she's trying to fill her gap at about $11.36 as well... will likely rest from there, so I'm not sure there's a ton of near term upside.
I like ASTI-Spumante, Martini & Rossi better for the go-go mo-mo play (w. HOKU both ways, of course).
It looks like it will pull back to about 9.30 ish here, and that's the entry.
Wow, ASTI did just that, and shot above it's old 100% retrace line at 9.60... where I think is the next place to buy it on the pull back.
Give NGA a look see guys. The split is behind it and it is reacting well off the 50 with volume. Good trading.

Didn't even know till this morning.
Program tracks discrepancy between SPY and SSO and buys if the difference is greater than 0.25% of normal.

Got in KMGB today on bounce off 20D MA. Thing killed in earnings past month and volume has just exploded. Mentioned it here few weeks ago but it was correcting back to MA. Up @ 7% today.

Gosu: if SSO is about $90 and SPY is about $150, (1) how do you calc 'normal' and the difference?

Also buying BMY call options sept. 37.50, cheap at .35 today, and Aug. calls32.5 for a buck.
somethings up, option volume and open interest exploded today on calls.
BB, SSO is supposed to be 2*SPY returns.
The difference is calc. in percentages.
If SPY goes up or down 1%, SSO approx tracks it by 2%. But frequently , there are discrepancies.
Example, like yesterday.
SPY Closed down 1%
SSO went down 4.5% after hours.
If your brokers shows after hour charts look at trades for SSO around 6:35 ET for SSO. Thats when the program kicked in and bot SSO.
Phew! Not again guys!

ASTI looks like it's headed higher intermediate term. It makes no money but at least it's in the right industry - solar. All solar, whether speculative or not, will rise. A big solar wave is comin. Remember the internets of the 1990's? I rather you be in FSLR, SPWR, STP, JASO and TSL - real companies making real money. But ASTI is fine too as a speculative play.
When you have time, watch this trend trade video by Nexgens software.
This is a 25 minute video and is the most profitable automated strategy used by me. I dont use the Nexgens software but write my own programs in TradeStation.

If Crude stays above 60 dollars (its above 70 today), Solars will have a bright future. These companies are just starting and Europe is knee deep into giving these clean energy technologies a boost.
And ofcourse, the insatiable energy demands from China and India have in part to come from Solars
