The last few years have been great to me, as i was able to clobber the S&P500 many times in returns. But of course, you can't make a living trading the markets if you don't make great great returns. I'll try to give my readers trades that i think will make them money. However, you need to have money management skills, in order not to lose everything on a greedy or stupid trade. I may or may not already be in the trades i recommend. I may or may not trade the stocks i recommend. HPQ is an awesome buy!

HPQ @ 40.50

A break above 40 means it's time to get on board. HPQ is one of the best tech companies in America.

Intermediate to longer term play.

do you think mkt is about to enter a correction phase like may-july we had a couple months ago? thanks

anonymous,

I think we are in a new bull market. The May/July correction was mainly due to the deflation of the commodities bubble, which dragged everything else down. In order to have another event like that, a big event will probably need to happen.

CYD: is still a good investment imo. The stock is very cheap. The only problem appears to the politics going on with the owners of the company. They have yet to iron out their differences which they kinda tried in early 2005 but failed. I don't know what is wrong with these chinese people. They should get along and play nice so that everyone can make real money. The instititions have been staying away from this stock because of the internal strife.

Regarding today's trading, all i can say is that i'm kinda perplexed with its action. Typically with 10x the average volume traded yesterday from a stock that had been in sleep mode should have been pretty significant. I thought it would definately drive the stock price higher today but is obviously proven wrong.

We'll see happens in a few days.

Regardless, i still believe CYD is a stock you will want to continue to put on your radar.

You guys really need to put most of your money in good big stocks, not small stocks. When big boys move in they move in big stocks. You are likely gonna miss alot of the rally if all you're buying are BRLC, CYD, GIGM, etc.

You need to be in stocks like:

AMZN
BRCM
AAPL
GOOG
QCOM
AKAM
CRM
HPQ
TXN
NYX
MA

etc..

GRRF has a small float like EFUT and since CECT is going public on the nyx, do you think XING is undervalued??

hortons,

i'm not beanie, but this might be the one you are looking for:

myspace.com, the deal of the century! NWS!

I am hearing that Cramer and his people really like NWS - News Corp. I can see why. After NWS acquired myspace.com earlier this year, it is now participating in the growth of the digital revolution. Myspace.com is the most popular community site on the web, boasting over 109 million members. I think momentum should build in the stock, especially next year. NWS paid $550 million for myspace.com. This deal is the greatest deal of the century, although it didn't seem that way several months ago. NWS essentially got the site for free free free, and then some! Why? Did you know that GOOG recently signed a contract with NWS to have their search engine installed inside myspace.com? GOOG is paying $900 million for that privilege!!!! Wow wow wow wow wow is all i can say! So now what? Follow Google, of course, because Google ain't stupid. Buy NWS!!

NWS @ 20.14

NWS is a longer term hold. It has been an absolute slow mover but will change in the next few months. NWS has about 20 billion market cap.

I think the stock could double or triple within 2 years.

EFUT: i think the stock has gone up too fast too far. This is probably a situation where you needed to get out completely. With the stock going up 19 points this morning, you should sell EVERY SHARE you have. I think the stock is done going up, especially the massive volume and massive runup today.

I will positively no longer mention this stock.

Good luck.

Check out TSTC. They earned 9 cents vs 7 last yr but the interesting thing is that they are doing tests on 3G and if you back out those tests, they whould have earned 18 cents.

This stock recently moved from the otc to the nasdaq.

Beanie, what do you think?

Also, how about CRDN?

My favorite among your picks os CRDN, have the stock plus calls on it.

Oops, I meant my favorite of your picks is SAI.

What does everyone think of the NMX (Nymex) IPO on Friday? I would like to buy it but I think it will be extremely expensive by the time the average Joe can buy.

Wed Nov 15, 12:45:00 PM EST
Anonymous Anonymous said...

I agree that Beanie's best pick is SAI. I know EFUT rocked like a champ, but SAI is something I can invest in, go to work and at the end of the day I don't have to worry too much about it. I like slow constant growth versus something very volatile.

I think we all need to put faith in Beanie's pick. He hasn't let us down. I lost money on CYD, but I think due to fundamentals we will be back to $8 maybe by December. Beanie hasn't really let us down with his pick, it just needs time for the stock to consolidate after a gap up!

Many of you who don't stick it out with CYD will be sorry when this stock does bounce.

CYD has low volume right now. When the momo start daytrading this it will run like a mofo! Let's give this stock two weeks.

I would love some more views with detailed analysis about CYD. Looks like a solid company, though I would have liked to have seen better margins on recent earnings. It seems like their light engine sales are growing faster (low margin product) than medium and heavy engines. Any thoughts? Also, what is the outlook for diesel bus/truck engines in China? Will China's plans to expand railway transport affect the sales of truck/bus engines?

Wed Nov 15, 01:35:00 PM EST
Anonymous Anonymous said...

Neil,

That's very good that their low margin products are selling very well. The Chinese culture is very different from Western view. They love to buy cheap or lowest costs.

CYD knows the market and is selling a lot of trucks. With all the construction in Dubai, India and China there will be plenty of demand for diseal trucks around the world!

All,
What charting software do you use if any? Do you rely on your Brokers software for all analyses? Does anyone know of any site where we get Level II (cheapest site)quotes. For some reason, I feel thats important to know to enter a trade. Am I wrong?
I use Tradeking (broker) now and the only thing I am happy about is I dont lose much in commission. Apart from that you get what you pay for with them.
While SAI looks like a good company I am not sure it has volume to move it higher. I think LMT and BA are doing better now.
Thanks.

Scottrade offers Level II and Total View within its Elite Trader platform and if you do a minimum of 15 trades a month its free. As their trades are $7 .00 Its no a bad deal

SAI is lacking in volume and that's what you want to see during consolidation.

Check out GD and other defense stocks. Lots of people were leaning the wrong way before elections. Now Democrats control Congress, many people realize nothing has changed.

Watch for SAI to move higher along with other defense sectors.

Wed Nov 15, 02:35:00 PM EST
Anonymous Anonymous said...

Only thing I can say about SAI and low volume.

This stock will either move up BIG or MOVE DOWN BIG!!

Beanie knows how to pick stocks, I put my faith in his selection. Just buy and wait for it to run. Then sell it when everyone wants it.

Check out BRLC. If it closes above $8 short squeeze will occur tomorrow. Keep your eyes on BRLC!!

Stockholm wrong again in the short term!

Wed Nov 15, 03:14:00 PM EST

Patience everybody!!
Look at BRLC, one of Beanie's picks! It's shooting to the moon today!

Let's all give Beanie credit and stick with his picks. We are all going to make $$$$$ just like we witnessed in BRLC!

Stay patient in CYD! It will pay off if not this week, next week.

Does anybody disagree with that?

Wed Nov 15, 03:25:00 PM EST
Anonymous Anonymous said...

I dont disagree with any of the above comments. Just got greedy and bought on margin and learnt my lesson. BTW lets say I decide to buy on Margin for a quick buck. Would you guys say CYD or BRLC or SMSI from the last two weeks would have been the way to go?

Trying to learn.
Thanks

Hello M,

I know stockholm put a bad mark on BRLC. Because it broke out of resistance at $8 its a better buy!!

The shorts will scramble and all those people who listened to stockholm will have to cover with a loss. Short term BRLC looks like a good setup. Plus it's a beanie pick!

Let everyone know if you haven't been averaging down on CYD you better do so.

Otherwise, when this takes off to $8 don't post on the board asking to get in when you can get in @7.3!!!!

If you guys are trying to find another hot stock like EFUT, CYD is not it or close to it. I just read an article from Motley Fools suggesting one should be wary about chinese companies. Sure the growth potential is great, but so does the risk. I were very lucky to make a good profit from EFUT-and that's what it is-LUCK. Please don't allow your emotions get out of hand. I am thankful Beanie gave that timely advice to sell all efut shares.

I'm extremely skeptical about CYD here--following the recommendation on this board, I've tried to do the research, and frankly, something about this whole reorganization that is supposedly going to happen smells really bad.
It's not enough to say that China is expanding and that because of China's good economy and expansion that Yuchai's engines will be in demand. If the management can't execute with a good bottom line and good margins, then this stock will be worthless.
At the same time, good old Beanie here has a very good track record...what to do? Beanie, do you know something about CYD that we don't?
