ZVUE encore!!! I love this stock!!
There is a paradigm shift coming in the Youtube phenomenon and that is being able to take those videos with you whenever and wherever you want it. Do you even comprehend how profound this is?
I believe that ZVUE will eventually be worth more than what Google paid for Youtube ($1.6 billion). You might say i be crazy. You might say i be dreaming. You might even say i'm just a really bad pumper. That's ok by me. That's what they all said about EBAY, GOOG, and YHOO before they became the huge companies we know them today.
I could definately be wrong about ZVUE, but i am not wrong about the significance of being able to download user-generated videos to your portable video player. I want you to ask your wife, husband or your friends about this. I want you to ask them if they believe being able to download user-generated videos to any portable video player will be hot. I already know the answer. Do you?
I am now raising my intermediate term target to $20 .
Don't just pay any price for ZVUE. Buy the dips to support areas.

Way to go beanie. Got in at 6.88. Now 7.72. Also added some NDAQ cheap. Thanks buddy.
Hi, Beanie!

Beanie
You don't think zvue is over bought here? What would be a good entry point?
Thanks
anonymous,
there was over a 70 cent drop this morning. Good enough for entry.
Buy below 7 or a break above today's high
PNTR: do you believe this is the next PNTR? i dunno but i'm passin this on.
good luck. play small.
oh, by the way, i aint playin PNTR. One EFUT is already enough for the time being.
AAPL & NYX: both very strong. They've been easy money for some time now.
and
NDAQ and GS as well
...easy money
PNTR: wow, i guess it is the next EFUT. lol

Pamfla

beanie,
what are your thoughts on
BRLC? is it a company like ZVUE?
and is it late to get into PNTR?
ZVUE looks like a little profit taking today but i like that it is not giving up too much
anonymous,
BRLC is headed to 15.
PNTN, i ain't touchin this one. Not gonna comment on it either. i mentioned it here when it was at 12-13 and it doubled after that. Great daytrade for those who were brave to dive in.
ZVUE is short term overbought. Of course needs some consolidation to the 6 area, but i hope it stays above 7.
sorry i meant PNTR
sorry to ask a basic question, but how do you find if something is overbought?
Bought ZVUE at 7.40 and at 7.10.....
Bought BRLC at 8.42 sometime back....
Am learning a lot here!
-M
Mark,
if you don't read charts, you can easily tell it is overbought when the stock went from $5 to nearly $8 in 2-3 days time on no news. That's almost a 60% move. Alot of the traders that bought in the low 5's two days ago are gonna want to keep a big piece of their profits. They'll sell like there is no tomorrow.
Beanie
Awesome site love it
Listen
Im long
MA
and AOB
WHat do u think of AOB, i think it goes to 15
I like ZVUE alot
and want to buy BRLC next week! Looks insanely cheap..
Inform me on AOB mate
Hi beanie: What do you think of LMRA now? I am hoping a news soon will give it a good push, until then dormant????
beanie,
Thanks for ZVUE. I'm holding half at low 5's and picked up some at low 7s....
The idea that this could hit the 20s is awesome. Of course, i understand that it is short term overbought.
I am wondering if i should sell a few for profits or should i just wait for a dip to buy some more...
if there is a dip i guess in the mid 6's would be a nice entry?
thanks a bunch!! and i will keep an eye on BRLC.. your thoughts appreciated
hey beanie,
I'm not sure if that person who signed "-M"...not sure if their name is mark (you addressed them as mark), but it's not the mark who asked you how much you need to daytrade. From now on I'll sign as "the rat" since an old friend used to call me that in college. :-)
thx,
-Mark the rat

ok.. i am a little confused as what your intention is for this stock. What i really want you guys to do with ZVUE when i made it an official call at $4.80 was to grab some and sell 1/2 at a big rise (preferably a double) and hold the rest to see how far this baby goes. If you sold 1/2 for less than 100% profit, then you must set a stoploss that will allow you absolutely NO net loss (on your initial investment) on that last 1/2 position in case something goes wrong with this company.
All new entries after that should only be for day and swing trades and should only be bought at support areas. I would say low to mid 6 would probably be decent support. The low 7 is a little bit more risky and too soon to really call that decent support.
ZVUE: someone asked me on Wed, while the stock was i think in the mid 6, whether he should enter and i said to wait for a dip. There wasn't much a dip and the stock rallied hard the last hour. In the event, there's not much you can do but to pay up if you wanted the stock.
The last hour of trading is always very important, more so than the first hour of trading. Do pay special attention to it. If a stock rallies hard sometime in the last hour, it tends to continue into the close. Some traders only trade the last hour!
Thats because there is a famous saying on wall street "Amateurs open the market and professionals close it".
Professionals mostly wait for the last hour to gauge the mood of the market and see how it takes shape.
So, if stock really rallies hard in the last hour, it means the professionals - fund managers and institutional investors are jumping on the stock.
gosu,
excellent point.
Hi Beannie!!
any opinion for the direction of
the indices during next week?
North or South?
Gignc
pt,
AOB looks good. Fundamentals are great.
Will probably consolidate first before attacking your $15 target.
Gignc,
We are probably gonna go higher early next week. I would be surprised if we keep on chugging along without some type of consolidation, which is healthy and sets us up for the december year-end run.
beanie,
thanks so much for your informative posts. I am the person that bought in the 5's and then 7's.
I will wait for an entry on monday and maybe enter again. i guess i hope to sell some of my holdings if we can hit the 10 area.....
also what do you think of appl still? it does nothing but go up!! i have since the mid 60's but only a small position. is it too late to add? do you think 100's by january 2007?
Hi Beanie,
Hope you had a nice Thanksgiving... Still own MRVL at the $20.00 range. Would like to put $ into a ZVUE, BBI, or BRLC, cheaper stocks if you recommend so...MRVL, being $20.00, is high for my blood & would like to diversity some. Will there be any special hype for MRVL this week?
Thanks,
Pamfla
Regarding the directions of markets, here is my theory:
1) There is excess liquidity in the markets i.e. lots of cash on the sidelines. All the cash that investors have is slowly being pumped in the stock market - likes pension funds have been waiting after the steep declines of May/June 2006.
2) Drop in home prices - Again, all the money, investors were making in the home price escalations is being directed into the stock market.
3) Drop in Energy/Oil prices - This area is no longer hitting highs every minute. Money will be rotated in other areas - (read: technology)
4) Dow components are undervalued: Even though Dow is hitting new highs, 21 of the 30 Dow components are a lot lower than their all time highs. Example, Intel is 70% lower than its all time high. Money from Energy and Homes will be coming into the high quality names.
5) Merges and acquisitions: The surge in corporate merges and buyouts (Phelps Dogde, Delta airlines, CBOT) and the premiums being offered, proves that big corporations and private equity firms think that stocks are cheap right now. Last time this happened was seen in the bull market of 1982-1987. That was interrupted only by a potential law in congress threating mergers. Needless to say, it wouldn't happen this time.
6) Historical trends: Last time we had a treasury secretary from wall street - Robert Rubin - from 1995 to 1999, the markets just took off. This time we have Mr. Henry Paulson from Goldman Sachs.
This only means one thing - the markets are headed higher in long term.
anonymous,
AAPL is an awesome company and a great stock. The Apple stores at the mall and the trendy ipod are definately reversing AAPL's fortunes. More and more people are looking to buy Macs now than ever before. Traditionally, Macs own about 4-6 percent of the market share for computers. It looks like that market share will double next year, and i believe it will continue to grab more and more shares with no end in sight. The iPhone is coming out next year!
I would not own any other consumer electronics stock without first owning AAPL!
Buy every freakin share of AAPL you can grab your hands on (other than using maximum margin. If i feel greedy, i might add 30-50% margin). I believe you will be very happy by this time next year!
I am more excited about AAPL than any other tech stock right now. Number 1 on my list.
Hold for at least a year, or two, or three.
pamfla,
Don't worry about MRVL. It should take off sooner than you realize. Might possibly (i think likely) move up above the all-important $21 this week.
imo, alot of things in life, as is also in the stock market, are manipulated by the powers that be.
I am not fond of the new phenomenon of mixed martial arts fighting in the octagon. But there is one guy i'm really impressed with - skillwise and strengthwise. The farmboy Matt Hughes just lost his title to George St. Pierre last weekend.
My goodness, he's just not himself and fights like an amateur (relative to his usual self). It's as though he was "scheduled" (aka "manipulated") to lose.

oh well, i'll see ya Monday.
Your right about the ufc fights.
I've been saying for a long time that they're fake.
#1.During UFC the show, they even put on "entertainment" exhibitions. Where no one takes anyone out quickly, and is just purely for show, by showing "near misses". They all can't be intense right? Got to remember, it's a tv show!
#2.Sometimes if you watch closely enough, you can see a fake knockout, where a punch or kick barely grazes them, and they go down. Afterwards they manipulate the camera angles(not showing you the one thats the best view of what happened) to fool the viewer.
It's nothing like WWE. WWE flaunts the showmanship in your face, UFC is much more subtle than that, it has to be. It must give the appearance of being "real fighting". Watch a maui tai kickboxing fight sometime, a real one, and you'll be amazed with the difference between an entertainment tv show, and what real martial artists do when pegged against one another.
And if your still not convinced..Even though he is himself a great mixed martial arts fighter, What real fighting show would use Joe Rogan as an announcer?
Watch the next match, under the assumption that it is fake, look for where they slip up, or miss an easy take down, or an easy punch; watch the match as a skeptic, you'll see it.
-Sincerely,
I'm not really a conspiracy theorist. And i do like your blog.(not my real name)
Beanie,
I noticed that there is ZVUE & ZVUEW. They appear to be the same company but one is half the other and they are moving evenly. Why 2 Z's.?????
