The last few years have been great to me, as i was able to clobber the S&P500 many times in returns. But of course, you can't make a living trading the markets if you don't make great great returns. I'll try to give my readers trades that i think will make them money. However, you need to have money management skills, in order not to lose everything on a greedy or stupid trade. I may or may not already be in the trades i recommend. I may or may not trade the stocks i recommend. Due diligence is required on your part and the usual disclaimer that i am not responsible for your losses always apply. I have no affiliations with any broker/dealer and all posts are for educational purposes only. Remember to 'refresh' the home page and the "Comments" pages frequently in order to receive updated posts. Let's rock!

BRVO:

igaryok,
i did. .40 was resistance from last time. You do know that MOBL has never move up this much without some type of correction, dont you?
GIGM 1.77 AVNX 1.19
LLLI:
The chivalry is back to support it..lol
AVNX Avanex shares benefiting from Ciena's move, as well as upgrade (1.16 +0.14)
We think AVNX's 14% stock move comes as traders are realizing that Ciena (CIEN) was a 10% customer last quarter. Ciena shares are up as much as 7% in early trading after the co reported quarterly results and said it expects fiscal Q3 (July) revs to rise 5% sequentially, implying $108.9 mln in sales vs. Reuters Estimates consensus of $102.4 mln. We also note that Soleil started coverage of AVNX with a Buy rating, which may be contributing somewhat to the move.
brfng
uplink,
You are own your way to be a good trader....LOL. Good job!

FWHT:
You may want to buy this for a swing trade.
dimi,
Yes we keep CHINA.
thekookbook,
Yes, consolidation usually accompanies lower volume. I have faith in HISC. Just wait for the news.
wonatbingo,
Can you tell us where you find the information regarding stocklemon and LLLI?
LLLI:
And there you have it....lol
Let's not go against fear created by stocklemon. We are selling here for a 33% gain. It could go higher, but why fight fear?
This will be on our radar nevertheless.
AVNX:
As a result of selling LLLI, we are redeploying that cash to AVNX at 1.16-1.18. Again we hold for a double and sell 1/2.
MOBL:
.30 should now be support.
We no longer trade this one, other than riding the free shares.
out ELN with loss in AVNX like beanie said
ELN 4 th patient died rumors

Avanex inks former Alcatel exec to head optical group

MANHASSET, N.Y. — Avanex Corp. has named Yves LeMaitre as vice president and general manager of the newly formed optical components business unit, which combines the active and passive discrete components and the transmission modules groups.
LeMaitre was most recently president and chief executive officer of Lightconnect Inc., a privately-held optical MEMS component supplier based in California. Prior to that, LeMaitre was vice president and general manager of Core Data Products at Alcatel USA Inc. with worldwide marketing responsibility.
LeMaitre has also held various senior marketing and engineering management positions in France, the Netherlands and Italy for Alcatel and SITA.
Seeking to improve profitability, Avanex has in recent months restructured operations, moving manufacturing to low-cost locations and opening an operations center near Bangkok, Thailand
*** Beanie Alert ***
Remember we have already sold all of our LLLI at $4 ( 33% gain) and redeploying all that cash to AVNX at 1.17. The reason we are leaving LLLI is because of stocklemon. We do NOT swim upstream.
TASR new order coming? They’re raising the funds right now and at some point there will be a purchase,” Pittman said. “We’re getting close enough to where we could probably order them soon. But it’s going to be the training and policy that’s important. We have an environment here where we follow the rules and don’t stretch the rules, and hopefully, we’ll be able to avoid some deadly force issues.

Beanie
TASR may breakout today stops 11.19 i always use stops
ELN:
If you own this stock, it is best to hedge it with put options. If your account doesnt allow options buying, then lower your shares of this stock. They are getting downgraded today.
NAPS moves high of day even it was downgraded yesterday. wonderful world
IIJI:
strong today.
TASR sold 11.40 another small loss hehe bad day for me today.
STKL on briefing.com
SunOpta (STKL 5.12 +0.10) makes products for the natural and organic food markets. The co has three business units: the SunOpta Food Group, which specializes in natural and organic foods integrated from seed through packaged products; the Opta Minerals Group, a producer of environmentally friendly industrial materials; and the StakeTech Steam Explosion Group which engineers and markets proprietary steam explosion technology systems for the pulp
IIJI:
In addition to our free shares, we bought a new round of shares today! Go IIJI go!!!
LLLI:
Whoever posted the email supposedly from stocklemon, you better not be pulling our legs, or i gonna kick your arse! lol
testpick,
i really do not have the time to do what you want me to do. You really have to use your own judgement if you are daytrading. There are many chat rooms that teach daytrading. As far as my portfolio is concerned, it is hard to imagine how it can help anyone else.
If i am out of a particular beanie recommendation, i will usually let you guys know, as i have today on LLLI. All 8 recommendations are for a double unless something changes, which i will post.
All other calls outside of the beanie recommendations are meant for a double as well (if i state it), but doesnt mean you should keep it till it becomes a double. That is a judgement call. I try not to call anything unless i think there is price appreciation possibility and future potential. I may get out quickly and then the price rises. Or i may hold it even if it drops, because i can always buy more at the dip.
Wheneven i keep mentioning a stock day in and day out, it probably means i have strong interest in it and will focus alot of energy trading the stock.
Hope that helps....
PTSC:
I still own it at .14 and not budging, even though it has gone down.
Plan your trade and trade your plan!
Even though i call for a double on the beanie recommendations, i know some of you folks only daytrade it or swing it for 50% and you happy with that. That's ok and good for you, as long as you follow your plan. I also know some of you piled everything in one beanie recommendation after another, and multiplied your money like crazy. That is fine, if you willing to take that much risk.
AVNX stupid sellers at 1.18 - 1.19 irritate me
INCX:
Still think it will break $10, likely today. A double from under $9 was the call. If you are patient, i believe you will get your double, but if not patient that's fine too as long as you make money.
IIJI:
Still believe it will break $10, likely by end of next week.
holy cow beanie u from same place where i am from??
www.fooltrade.com nice
wonatbingo,
Thanks for the reply. I just need to be certain. :)
fooltrade:
I will visit the site when i have time later and see what they have to offer. If it is simple to use, i may use it to post some trades.
teshpicks,
We already sold LLLI this morning because of the email from stocklemon, posted by wonatbingo.
Watch it carefully... :)
MBAY MediaBay announces it has entered an agreement with RNWK
fooltrade.com:
vivaloca is my id. And since they only gave me $10k, i am all-in IIJI....lol
fooltrade.com down lol
teshpicks,
That's ok. IIJI is my favorite stock for the time being anyways. Let's see how i do. lol
IIJI:
Once it breaks $10, $15 should be easy.
TFSM new trade in 3.27 stops 3.09 target 3.43 let's see
IIJI:
Sellers, quit sellin will ya? Let it fly!
IIJI:
Holy cow, if we close at hod, we may attack $10 tomorrow.
fooltrade:
AVNX trade also in, but wrong price posted...lol
BRVO:
Got milk?
igaryok,
MJET appears to be a relatively low float type of highly speculative trade. I dont see any good fundamentals or any interesting story behind it. Correct me if i'm wrong.
:)
INCX:
Went as high as 9.80 premarket, but traders faded it.
$8 is strong support, imo.
PTSC:
I believe it will head higher tomorrow, as traders want a position to hold over the weekend, just in case there may be good news next monday.
LOOK .85 oh ho
IIJI:
I am holding this new position overnite.
LLLI:
If you haven't taken some (or all) money off the table, be careful. Stocklemon could release the article on their webpage tomorrow morning.
Good luck..
Beanie do you like BCON ??
BCON just saw increase in volume on CPST strength i think watching only.
Ustler,
Yes i expect a double on PTSC.
BRVO is a slow mover, but i expect a double in less than 2 months. The stock is being accumulated every day. Volume is huge.
singh,
BCON not much happening with the stock price. We are waiting for a breakout.
Ustler,
It doubled within 2 days. Jumping in late, we were hoping for more. We didn't get it as profittaking ensued. We are ok waiting for this one. I believe we could be one good press release away from retesting the 52-week high.
horton,
INCX - hold it. I believe it is headed higher tomorrow.
IIJI:
Beautiful finish!!!
CIEN upgraded right before mkt closed
qtpie,
CIEN was called in the low $2 for a longer term hold until it doubles. I also stated patience is needed for this one, or else you guys should not buy it. Sell 1/2 at double.
AVNX: patience is need here as well. Sell 1/2 at double.
MJET: Somebody mentioned this stock earlier.
I just did a little bit more research on the company. It is actually now profitable as a result of an acquisition. MJET is giving away Preferred A shares that is convertible to 700 million shares of MJET's common stock. Upon approval, there will be a 1:29 reverse split of the stock.
You can play it but we are not playing this one.
Coolguy,
We still got 3 beanie recommendations - PTSC, BRVO and OBDP - that we still working on. We closed out our LLLI position for 33% gain. I am gonna wait awhile until we close out 1-2 more before announcing another microcap.
IIJI: I like it alot and bought alot today. Next stop is 9.50 and then 10. After that the stock should head to $15 easily.
IIJI Just my thought,
Tomorrow might be dump day. Watch like a hawk through 10:30+. No solide fair value numbers today I believe.
Plan on buying more PTSC tomorrow, unless better tips come up?
Good luck, curt
Check out Lebed's free picks:

curt
IIJI & INCX:
I know it can be hard to believe right now, but i am confident that both these two stocks will eventually trade above $15.
Nick,
NSI is gonna have strong resistance at 14-15 area. If it breaks $15, it's going higher.
PTSC: We are holding and waiting. Remember that this is meant for a 3-4 weeks hold and then we re-evaluate.
IIJI:
I would wait out the first 30 minutes when the market opens to see if it still has rocket fuel left, before entering.
longshot,
thanks. I like it! BRVO
VPHM:
Very strong today. This thing is going to $10! Believe it! Sell 1/2 at a double.
Companies expected to supply devices to the rollout have seen their shares cut in half or worse in the past year: Blue-chip optical components maker JDS Uniphase (JDSU, news, msgs) is down nearly 60% in 2005 alone despite a material pickup in business, and 98% since 2000, while key subcomponent maker Avanex (AVNX, news, msgs) is doing even worse, if that’s possible, down nearly 70% this year and 99% since 2000.
You might surmise from these results that the so-called “fiber to the premises” theme is doomed, but I think you would be wrong. For even as these stocks are getting sold to the walls, the business is actually finally starting to pick up -- and in a more massive way than we ever imagined. The problem is that the vendors with sexy technology stories have turned out, so far, to be the wrong way to invest in the fiber rollout. The right way might be via the shares of the most humble and low-tech players of all: The companies that dig the holes in the ground into which the fiber and all those cool components are buried.

DJ MARKET TALK: Avanex Risk/Reward Looks Favorable To Soleil
Thursday , June 02, 2005 14:25 ET
Edited by John Shipman
Of DOW JONES NEWSWIRES
(call: 201 938 5171; e-mail: john.shipman@dowjones.com
MARKET TALK can be found using N/DJMT
2:25 (Dow Jones) Avanex's (AVNX) small size may put off some risk averse investors, but the potential rewards may be worth it, says Soleil Securities analyst Dave Fore. After scooping the optical businesses of various networking companies in 2003, AVNX has become a "pureplay" supplier of optical equipment. In his coverage initiation, Fore expresses his optimism on the stock: "While a $1 stock is never without risk, we believe that the risk/reward profile is appropriate for a buy rating." AVNX up 20% to $1.22. (RC).
