The last few years have been great to me, as i was able to clobber the S&P500 many times in returns. But of course, you can't make a living trading the markets if you don't make great great returns. I'll try to give my readers trades that i think will make them money. However, you need to have money management skills, in order not to lose everything on a greedy or stupid trade. I may or may not already be in the trades i recommend. I may or may not trade the stocks i recommend. Due diligence is required on your part and the usual disclaimer that i am not responsible for your losses always apply. LVLT a nice telecom play.

LVLT has been sneaking up steathily almost everyday. The company is saddled with debt but is growing in revenues nicely. LVLT also recently has a deal with YouTube.com, which is in the top 10 ranking of most visited website.

LVLT is @ $5.30 right now.

LVLT is short term overbought (but could see $6 before consolidating). It is a great intermediate and longer term play.

I am buying a little bit of LVLT Jan 5.0 calls here.

You can also buy the LVLT Oct 5.00 calls as well. It's cheaper but you got like 4 weeks. If you think LVLT will stay above $5, you should be ok.

anonymous,

looks like it is headed to 46-47 to form the double bottom before a real bounce.

I don't own VLO. But everyone should be out when the 50 could not hold.

Stick with tech for now. If you still like VLO, wait for 46 or 50.

The market is holding nicely and should continue to rally in the days ahead.

I am hoping we get a morning selloff tomorrow, so we can long some positions. I think we are set to break new highs this month, barring any catastrophic geopolitical event. So buying the dips is a good idea.

Have a great day!

yes MA is a good longer term hold. It should trade above $100 is my opinion.

MA at $100 would be nice. Sadly I sold about half of my position (200 shares) this morning before the mid-day MA rally (taking your advice about not using margin) and took the approx $300 loss or so....but oh well, what can we do.....
Best,
Mark

anonymous,

sometimes safety is more important than missing the run. MA offered a great re-entry when it continued higher AFTER the fed meeting. Tomorrow it needs to take out 67.50 to move higher. I think the stock could plow higher but eventually it will needs to stop and base for the next run. From the run of late, the big boys must think MA is a bargain.

Could MA be running like CME did? Eye candy that!

Pay attention tomorrow. I have a stock i am extremely confident will run tomorrow. I will wait for confirmation premarket and then announce it. I am really hoping we see a morning selloff.

Meanwhile, consider buying these on dips in the morning because they're going higher:

CSCO
LVLT
GIGM

fyi, I own a little bit of october CSCO 22.50 calls and october&jan LVLT 5.00 calls. If you don't own them, wait for a dip in the stocks before buying them. If you don't like options buy the stock.
