The last few years have been great to me, as i was able to clobber the S&P500 many times in returns. But of course, you can't make a living trading the markets if you don't make great great returns. I'll try to give my readers trades that i think will make them money. However, you need to have money management skills, in order not to lose everything on a greedy or stupid trade. Once the real reversal comes it should be a big move.
Thanks for all your insight. I bought 450 mastercard today on margin and was wondering if you think i should sell it or hold it. Currently down about $600 on it.

MA was for investment purposes. (There was a $2 move up yesterday right after my call. Profits should have been booked if daytrading.)
I'd be very careful using margin this week. We just dont know where the fed meeting will take us, although we are short term overbought in the markets. Alot of technicians are forcasting a dip to retest the May/June lows towards year end.
All will be clear an hour after Ben Benanke speaks tomorrow. I personally would not be on margin. If you like the stock, i'd probably suggest you sell 1/2 here and wait till Ben speaks. Alternatively, you can sell all of it, and buy back after Ben speaks. There might be an initial drop in the markets immediately after the speech, and then a possible rally.
While I agree with everything you said, I think I'm going to take my chances...I really like MA and I would hate to have to sell at a loss. Hopefully the market will be strong tomorrrow.
