The last few years have been great to me, as i was able to clobber the S&P500 many times in returns. But of course, you can't make a living trading the markets if you don't make great great returns. I'll try to give my readers trades that i think will make them money. However, you need to have money management skills, in order not to lose everything on a greedy or stupid trade. I may or may not already be in the trades i recommend. I may or may not trade the stocks i recommend. Due diligence is required on your part and the usual disclaimer that i am not responsible for your losses always apply. Buy the dips! That's the way to play it!

You didn't pick up some CRM on the dip? You didn't buy NYX on the dip? How about RVBD? C'mon man, don't be fearful (just yet)!

anonymous,

because it didn't want to go higher today, i would have sold already today if i were daytrading.

I would sell VLO even if i were swingtrading, because 52 seems to be strong resistance. I would rebuy once 52 gets taken out. Or i would rebuy after another correction.

do me and do yourselves a favor, make sure you have some (not alot but some) RVBD and DIVX and hold it for 1 year or more. Maybe 100 or 200 shares of each, or maybe 500 shares of each depending how much principle you have. Hold them and don't look at them for 6 months to 1 year.

NYX new highs!

Were you buying yesterday when i asked ya to?

Don't be too fearful on buying dips. We are still in a bull market, until it changes.

anonymous,

VLO has to take out 52 conclusively, not just linger and then crack. Even if it did held for some time, you would again get out once it dips below 52.

No i would not buy VLO just yet. I want to see low low 50 or a conclusive break above 52. Otherwise i'll just wait.

what a strong day for most of our stock!

It seems like the traders really want to take out the all time DOW high. It's probably the reason the market keeps on staying up so far this week. But once we do get there, i think we will reverse course because normally you don't take out a multiyear high without some sort of consolidation.

I bought some 572 shares of RVBD last monday 9/25th, after reading your thoughts about this stock and my own research, I think I am going to hold on for awhile as suggested. I got it at 16.40 monday, must admit it's too tempting to sell now and cash in $$$$!

anonymous,

nothing wrong with selling some if it's tempting.

i personally like both DIVX and RVBD. Because i don't know which one will eventually be a 5 billion market cap company, i would buy both. Maybe you might want to sell 1/2 RVBD and use the proceeds to buy DIVX?

Up to you.

anonymous,

i hope your 572 shares of RVBD doesn't represent the bulk of your portfolio! If so, you better watch it like a hawk! lol
